What match ups you looking forward to? I think this will be a very good tournament.

Very hard to determine match ups without knowing where the weights are! A Meeks Vs Lovejoy match would be great! A Conyers vs Looser at 160 would be a good one, or Conyers vs Dukehart? not sure who could give McDermitt a good match but he is fun to watch. Curtis Miller from Jefferson will go untouched. A Heiing vs Gremling match will be another good one if they are both at 195. A Meeks vs Wilson match could be a MVP winning type match again depending on weights! Pauf vs McCormick, Green vs Buettner at 152 unless Green goes 145. None of these match ups are a for sure just fun

I'm pretty sure Lovejoy will be at 145. If Meeks has yet to make 132, could we see Meeks, Lovejoy, Wilson all at 145. As a fan I'd like to see it happen.

Wow the Semis if Wilson vs Green and Meeks vs Lovejoy alone would be great then to have two of these guys battle it out for first will be the weight class to watch. How about team wise Shawnee, Elida, Bath, Allen East, Delphos St John's? LCC and Jefferson could surprise, Bluffton has some horses but not depth, same with Spencerville, and I am not sure what Lima Sr has

I think only DSJ is the only non-WBL team to have enough team wise. Just not enough depth for others to contend.

Nobody else has opinions? Maybe the Rocketcorner has ran it's course. This should be a great area tournament and no one seems excited. I hope this years invitational showcases the area talent and people take notice.

I believe this could be the best county meet since it started back up. Seven state qualifiers with three being placers return.(Which I see both of those number going up with this field.) Does anyone know if we will see Meeks up at 145?

I counted State 8 qualifiers Plaugher, McDermitt, Lovejoy, Conyers, McCormick, Gremling, Miller, Wilson. Miller didn't wrestle but did qualifiy. The top talent here seems pretty good but it overall lacks depth, individual and team wise. A couple years back Bluffton, Allen East, Bath and Elida were very good teams that had depth too. Team race seems wide open this season. Besides the names we all know is there any young guys to watch make a name for themselves this week. Last year Elida's Freshman Tyler Snith really impressed me. This year I haven't herd much. Kuhlman from Shawnee 113, Davis 120 from Bath , Buettner Delphos St Johns 126. Any new guys any grade to look out for even if we don't pick them to be champs.

I would doubt if you see Meeks at 45 - 132 / 138 more than likely. Bath has a few nice freshmen in as you mentioned Davis - but, also Rabley and Garee.

I'd love to see what Bath has done so far this year but can't seem to find any results.

Just a guess, but I think Meeks will go 138. He will be going for his 4th Allen Co. Championship, and probably wants nothing to do with Wilson or McDermitt. I think McDermitt is better and Wilson would be to strong for him.(Just my opinion Bath fans so dont take it wrong.)
4 would be pretty impressive. Cant think of anyone else off the top of my head that has done it.
I know Falk, Clum, or Miller didnt do it. They are some of the more dominant wrestlers I can think of. If there are any 4 timers someone let me know cause I cant think of any.

To me it isn't up to us to judge or figure out why Meeks quit or came back he is a high school student and we all make decisions in life. The good thing is he has put so much time into wrestling since he has been little that I believe it's time to watch him get some rewards. Put the past behind us and look to the future, he is a good kid and brings a level of wrestling to this area that is needed. I hope to see him grow and place this year and mature from what ever had him down about wrestling. I cheer for a fighter that gets through his struggles in life and grows from it! This sport isn't easy and many guys quit I respect that he came back and wish him good luck!

Where is Mack from Bath? He won WBL's as a freshman and made it to Districts, did he move?
