Over the past couple a games CR has jelled as a team and showed what they can. Remember FJ game 7-3 CR. The team is playing more together and and is peaking at the right time. Also the team has a lot of momentum of the game against VB. And as for the team only having one captain i believe they have three who could lead the team along with other players who are non captains.

I'm glad to hear beating a team with 3 reg season wins this year was a big win for you guys. Just remember Bluffton plays big games pretty much every week. Except whenever they play the NCOSA.

I have seen both team play many times this year, including when they met at the beginning of the season. At that time Bluffton was top a top notch team, they have great leadership and were very good possesing the ball.... Cory Rawson had the skill to beat them however, they had not come together as a team at all. I beleive that now that the season has progressed so have both teams. Bluffton is still very good at possesing, maybe even better, they got more people than the reichanbahs and king in the offensive mix which makes them more of a threat. CR on the other hand has gotten much closer as a team. They have finally got their lineup settled which is a very good thing for them. Their offense finally got it together in the FJ game, and their d has picked it up allowing less and less goals. Both teams can play flat for short periods of the game which might allow some stupid goals. If both teams come ready to play and play to their full extent, it could unfortuantely be settled by shoot outs. Cory Rawson 4 Bluffton 2

CR doesn't want to go to a shoot out. I don't think they have a good history in them. I believe they lost last year to VB in one, I think everyone missed for them. And I remember a few years back vs kalida I think where your #11 choked big time. Your best chance to win is in regulation.

I completely agree with you. Although C-R is a better shooting team this year by far. Sadly I do recall the 01-02 season with the PK's against Kalida. Probably one of the coldest games I ever played in. One heck of a game to watch tho.....

What ever CR did against FJ they need to do it against Bluffton. I feel if they put the same line up in and play with the same amount of intensity CR will win. They need to play great defense and hold the pirates to 0 goals. CR is going to win this one

If the Hornets are up to the challage as having the same firepower they played with to beat FJ...they can very well take this one....The Hornets have a defender #18 who can out run just about anyone....As long as CRs denfense has no mental lapses, King and the twins are gonna have a tough time scoring....and if the offense can click, look for the hornets to stay alive w/ a 3-2 victory...

To be quite honest. Going into a shootout wouldnt be that bad. In the BG tourny, CR went into a shootout and they made every single one...all balls were place in the right area. I think it was the first one we ever one, and CR's shooting is very good this year.

Soccerballer - In your first post I think what you meant by "not together" you meant that CR is not "in sync" in some games and therefore they don't play well in big games. I think what Hit Em' High is saying is that CR has to be "together" as a team to be playing at a game ( every player there).

I agree with Hit Em' High that 5 - 2, Bluffton winning is a little too high. I think the score will be a lot closer than you think. Like I've said before, anything can happen during tournaments. so... good luck to both teams!

Speedy there would be a little bit more pressure on the shooters in a sectional tourney game as opposed to a summer tourney. I am glad to hear that you did win one though it definately can't hurt your team.

CRsoccer06 I felt kalida had the better team coming into that game, but your team should have won the game. It was cold and definately a great game to watch. I truly felt bad for #11, but was glad to see kalida advance. Sorry.

Man United Fan, I remember that game and that Tourney.. That was one of the best group of seniors to come out of C-R.. and I believe C-R beat Miller City and Ottoville that sectional to get to Kalida.. Kalida had a great keeper by the name of Cody Maxwell! #11 had a great game even though he missed in the shoot out.. He wasn't the only one that missed though and C-R did have a chance to tie the game up with their last shooter..Brain LaRue and Nate Herrera were the only ones that scored in the shoot out.... I believe kalida had a good tourney run that year and made it to the final four in state the following year.. Would have been nice for them to win it all that year!

The last thing I will say is CR is ready and looking foward to the challenge. Good Luck to both teams Saturday. One more thing is VB is a big rival to CR and have improved through out the season.

Man united fan, a tourny is a tourny, That game went to prove that this year we could handle the pressure of a shootout and if we get in that situation, dont worry, we will be ready.
