the dominoes are starting to fall.........
there seems to be a bit of a power struggle in the City tonight
as the old money Macarena's crowd is pitted against the
young professional crowd from the Buckeye Club.....
this could prove very interesting as all the patrons of the two
establishments will have their own ideas on who might be the best
choice............if'n a MC boy isn't selected for the top job, I would suspect
some changes made come November.........zoooom

I have no idea where you are getting this. You have no idea. I don't know where your Buckeye Club kick is coming from. There is little athletic talk there compared to Mac's, not that it really matters.

And about the changes in November. Well yeah, changes are going to be made when two board members retire as they said last week that they were going to.

where am I getting this? .......from the young professionals of course!

the Buckeye Club talk is quite obvious.....for the last 3-4 years the Clubbers have
been shaping the future of MC athletics.....if there is to be any

SMack talk at the venerable establishment next to the old Siefker General Store centers
around what needs to be done next at the school with the dump as the view out front.....

Ch.. Cha ...Changes have been in the works for awhile, and it will be curious to see the names
coming out of the Sportsmen Club in the next few months........

We are still offering a FREE RC logo Tshirt (autographed if requested wink.gif ) to the person who is the first to
correctly post the name of the next head basketball coach..........thanks RM

Heard they may hire within the school district, and right now "Colt" Lammers is the leading candidate........does "Colt" still visit Mac&Rita's!!!!!!!!!!!

does Anheuser Busch still make suds?

does Halle Berry still look great?

does Chris Adams still complain about every call?

is Stinkys still standing?

the answer to all of those questions is an unquestionable YES

though I do think that Mac's has taken more of a hit than any of the others...... wink.gif

Just keep digging yourself into that hole. Makes even less sense. The people actually from Miller City are laughing at this, just so you know, you're getting your publicity I guess.

I heard that too! And I think Colt was one of the later ones to know about it!

The time has come for the real truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth be told

And whom better to tell the truth than yours truly?

The next coach at the City of Champions, Miller City that is will be Lammers. Now there's about 70 Lammers or so to pick from so take a stab at that. But if I were you I'd start from the top of the A-B-C chart to stay on the safe side.

And you guys thought I was sleeping rolleyes.gif

I don't know how many of the Lammers boys have the "Colt" nickname but I know one of them played in the 70's and worked at Whirlpool in Findlay.

That would be Jerry.......everytime I see "Colt" he reminds me that he hit the winning shot against DSJ to win our Holiday Tournament......of course, I always remind him that it was only a 3 footer!!!!!!!!!

Electroglide,
long time, no hear.........great to know that you still enjoy visiting the site and your expert input over the past 5 years has surely been enlightening
to our members.......I would hope that in the next week or so you could contact McGuy and the rest of the MC faithful and let them know this breaking news..
it seems that they haven't yet come to grips with their situation........

I was prepared to take a road trip to the City later this week to check on a few things, but with the high cost of fuel it would be nice if you could just check
back in with some better intell......I would suggest checking the Buckeye Club around "Happy Hours" or Mac's for the lunch crowd.......thanks RM

Where's Big Mac in all of this...does he have any interest in taking the reigns again or would he rather enjoy watching Mac 2.0 from the stands?? If he hangs up the whistle again, then I'll day Smith from DSJ goes all in....just a hunch

Contrary to an earlier report (by me) Mac may be on the sidelines for the titans this year as an ######istant.

in a word.........no

with all of the business activity happening in Leipsic the Vikings will continue to see
an influx in athletes into the district.......

MC does not have this luxury and if the new governor has his druthers these small
schools will see some sort of consolidation in the next 5-6 yrs........RM

might I throw out the name Al Welch? wink.gif .......

Is AW in MC p######ing out resumes also? Man that guy gets around. You think running the areas best AAU program, a sporting goods store and playing golf around the country would be enough.

Word on the street is Big Mac & Lammers are following Ty to OG...leaving Kuhlman as the only remaining coach on staff. I was told the MC job will be posted today(?) and the Cats are attending a camp at Ball St. this weekend...I ######ume Kuhlman will be running the show for the camp??

The Timex Social Club would love this place........... I have heard:

JV coach Brian Kuhlman will coach MC

MC as$t coach Aaron Lammers may coach MC, OR may come to OG to help Ty

Big Mac is going to help Ty at OG/ Big Mac will go back as head coach at MC.......therefore setting up a father-son matchup.

MC will look outside for a head coach (good luck with that this time of year), Joe Braidic? Tom Von Sossan?

..........and best of all, venerable freshman coach Steve Peck will take over the program.

My source for MC info gave the following:

Never mentioned Lammers as a candidate for the job...he's following Ty.

Kuhlman will likely throw his hat in the ring, but not a guarantee

No word either way regarding Big Mac...but if Kuhlman is taking the team to camp, signs point to no Mac next yr

Looking outside will be a must as their are no internal candidates (outside of Kuhlman)...including Peck (doesn't he have a kid going to be a freshman??...and another playing college f-ball??...fatherly duties trump basketball)

A Miller City person told me last night that Kuhlman has no interest in taking over as head coach. Take that for what its worth, things could change of course.

The OG fans I talked to said they would really like Ty Mac's father to come along, just brings that experience that you need.

They weren't sure about Aaron Lammers.

As far as Brad Schumaker and Wade Stech go, they both believe they will still have their jobs, but I guess they must sit and take the wait and see approach.

O-G fans want Ty Mac's father too? Don't think so !

Speak for yourself....I'm an OG fan and would love to see Mac Senior on the bench. He brings a lot to the table, he has the experience and the basketball knowledge to really offer something valuable. Why wouldn't we want him, I personally think it would be stupid to not want him?

IF Aaron Lammers follows the new coach to OG it will be a double whammy for the Wildcats......

If Father Mac follows son to OG it will be mean a couple of things.......
(those I will get into later)

The City is now at a crossroads..........no, I don't mean SR 108 & 613 wink.gif
if it is true that Kuhlman won't throw his hat in the ring, just who do you think will?

my offer still stands for the FREE RC logo Tshirt and if this drags on long enough
I might be tempted to add some more goodies to the pot......RM

I have been taking a lot of heat from the MC backers here on the RC and when I'm out
and about........they claim that I'm full of hot air and don't have a clue on the inner workings
of the MC community blush.gif

I've gotten numerous messages saying that I got this whole story wrong from the start
and that I'm just trying to put MC in a bad light.........nothing could be further from the
truth.......I have ties to some people from MC and hope that this all works out for them in the end.......
but I can remember back in the early days of RC after Mac left and the carousal of coaches began.
I was right on every one of them and I'll be proved right again.......

maybe when the school board gets a new makeover things will be different, but I doubt it.......RM

My people tell me Lammers was never really in the mix for the job...due to work schedule, not desire. He would likely maintain the same role at OG as he had at MC...JV/unpaid a$st. Good get for OG, Lammers was a heck of a HS player & played college ball too. Story is he & Ty played AAU/travel ball together in their younger days...so theres a friendship there and with uncertainty in the City, he may be following the stability & his pal. As for legit candidates, no answer on that front....for the PCL's sake hopefully its someone solid...alot of shakeups in the coaching ranks this offseason
