The Beaver Eatin' Contest held annually at Stinkys Country Well in beautiful Gilboa, Ohio has been scheduled for Saturday March 5.........
Big Stan will again be providing the beaver and will be in charge of the preparation of this delicacy.......

of course there will be other eating options for those not inclined to eatin' beaver in a public venue
the beaver usually goes pretty fast as last year it was completely eaten by 7:30pm.......so if you're so inclined, I would suggest getting
there early with your bib on........

there will be live music along with Tshirt sales and a benefit raffle.......I'm not too sure about a tent (mostly depends on Roxx's mood and the weather)
I'm sure that many of you have heard of this event but have never ventured over to actually check it out. Believe me, it's WILD

have some updated news about the event:

The Hillside Winery located in historic downtown Gilboa is also partnering in on this........the proprietors have agreed to pair
some of their vintage wines with the beaver..........they have said that the Quarry White lends itself beautifully to the
robust taste of the meat.......

a wine-tasting will be held at this fine establishment from 4:00-6:00pm. They are importing some cheeses from around the world
for this weekend........I am also trying to contact the owner of the Gilboa Quarry to see if he would be interested in opening up the
campground for some of the revelers who might not be able to make it home later that evening..........

this is shaping up to be the premiere dining experience of the year .......I would suggest calling ahead to reserve a table at either
business that weekend

I have spoken with our mascot (Beavercreek) and have been advised by Bucky that I should not attend or will be banned from any further activities with my favorite High School. As such, I must pass....enjoy, as I do not think that Bucky reads much! LOL

I talked with Roxx today and she said that she has the entertainment lined up.........

there will be a DJ playing 6-9pm

and then live, on stage, one of a kind performance starting at 9:00pm

the event is open to everyone.........to partake in the beverages that Stinkys is so well known, you must be at least 21 yrs. old......

I believe that Roxx and the rest of the crew would like you to be at least 18 yrs. old to watch the event......I'm not sure exactly what the price
of the beaver plate special will be, but in the past it has been very reasonably priced

Only 7 more days until the biggest event that is held in Gilboa on a yearly basis.......
you should start seeing a little more action around Stinkys early this week.....

the beer trucks should start rolling in on Tuesday to stock up enough product to take
care of the patron's thirst after enjoying the slow-roasted beaver......

Bob Doo will be heading to Ottawa to stock up on the Jagr and Jack at the liquor store...
I don't know if they'll be calling Bertie to help out but I would imagine that this night it's
every man on deck for this extraveganza.............more news to follow

I have just heard that more wild game will be served in addition to

the best beaver around........it promises to be a great time ...
