Diebler can play and is playing. See he is a college player, and possibly can play in the NBA doing just what he is doing shooting 3's. but if not for whatever reason he doesn't make the NBA. I am still wondering how you can say he can't ball when he starting for a D1 , currently ranked number 2 team in the country (primarily because of soft early scheduling). What because he can't drive the lane. Not everyone playing basketball has to be able to break the defense down with driving to the lane. You don't have to be A. I. to play ball.
I think it is funny when the criticism of these players is what he can't do at the next level. Not looking at the level they are playing and how much time they are playing currently and what they have done in the current career.
Diebler by the way has had scouts tell him, that NBA teams do look for 3 pointer shooters, to work on his ball handling, but to continue to work on his shooting technique.
I think the Celtics have a guy who has made a career shooting threes......

I could see Diebler getting a shot at the NBA, his biggest thing is going to be ball handling and defense. For those who may remember, I'd compare him to a Steve Kerr, John Paxon or Chuck Person. Ray Allen is a much, much more complete player than any of these guys. Allen was in Milwaukee for so long, no one knew him. He's been strickly a shooter in Boston in the later part of his career.
