Dear Mr. Victorian

I am one poster that is willing to wager that Aaron Craft in his first 2 college games already has better numbers than you did in your 4 years of division I ball. And if you did not coach or play division I you are no more qualified to give expertise critcism than the drunk down at the local pub.

In the same boat you are in pal.

I don't see why any of the things I have ever said about this kid are considered hatin on him or sayin he sucks.
For me to say he will never average double figures or will struggle at the defensive end is not hatin on him either. I'm just giving my opinion.

If you recall, I said Diebler would struggle scoring at OSU. I was lambasted for that. It's ok, I'm cool with it.
And man, I am really good lookin, so I still have that goin for me. wink.gif

ESPN announcers seem to think Craft can play point and help them get to final four. Crow eating contest will be held at ............ pickles.gif If you need player evaluations in the future feel free to ask--no charge.

And the crow eating contest seems to be going very well. Add a little salt and catsup gentlemen and i think you`ve got yourselves a meal.

Craft doesn`t look anything like a freshman, but he does look like a point guard whom plays both ends of the floor like a proven winner. fish2.gif

I sure do cook up a wonderful Crow Stew.

Here is the recipe: One pound of foot in mouth, one half cup of lack of basketball knowledge, To dashes of humble pie, mixed together and cooked in the "In your face" oven for 4 years of excellent play. ENJOY! popcorn.gif

There isn't a bigger fan of OSU basketball than yours truly and it is very encouraging to see the job that AC has done so far. But I wouldn't be too quick serving up the crow just yet. Let's keep in mind that they have played just 11 games and a good deal of those were against "suspect" competition. At the same time you can't discount the quality wins on the road at Florida and Florida State and the total domination of South Carolina. But I wouldn't pass judgment, good or bad, on the basis of 11 games. In addition, AC and Sullinger are unknown quantities but you can bet that the Big Ten coaches in particular, are figuring out ways to slow them both down. I would wait until we get a few Big Ten games under our belt before I started serving the crow. But so far, so there can be no doubt, I give Mr. Craft a solid "A". Let's hope it continues!

osu strength of schedule is 258 out of 345 division 1 schools. most teams they have played are not any better than elite high school teams. although he looks pretty good overall.

Give Aaron Craft a break, he is a very good player. He is from a small school making it in the big time. How many kids from small d-4 or d-3 schools play at OSU or any big time school? Give the kid a break, I have watched him several times, & he is the real deal like a young, ineperienced Steve Nash or Calvin Murphy. He is ONLY a freshman. Geez, we need to be proud of our NW Ohio players playing at the highest level. Look at the kid from Crestview playing offensive line in the NFL for the Redskins. How many players from small NW Ohio schools make it to big time schools and the pros. Not many.....

If Aaron was from Lima Senior, Findlay or any city school from Dayton, Toledo, Cinci, etc. half of the haters would be lovers. Once again, he was able to consistently play big time AAU ball very well [not hold his own, but win individual battles alot more than he lost] against the elite prosepects in the country.

I'm currently working on some crow based appetizers and desserts for the end of the season debate.

Flock...I agree. I saw Craft several times in HS and new he could play, but school was out for me on him succeeding at a "top" D1 program. But...I was wrong, he is a "playa". I have really enjoyed watching this years OSU team and am sincerely happy for Aaron!

Jimmy Jackson had nothing but high praise for him last night. Kept reffering to him and how good he was all the game.

Craft is amazing to watch play with the Bucks...I never thought I would say this...but I could see him playing in the NBA someday. He is physically gifted, is a great defender and would more than likely be the smartest guy on the court at all times (#1 in his class in HS) and just gets competition. I am very interested to see how he does in the Big ten, but I think he will be very successful even this year. He plays much more like a senior than any point guard I can ever remember coming in and playing right away. He just doesn't do any of the stupid stuff most freshman do.

I told my friends before the season started I could see him leading OSU to a National Championship and I believe that now more than ever. He is the real deal and will only keep getting better.

He needs to keep working on his jumper, but he is already decent. Over the next 3 plus years that will keep improving.
