Any thoughts on how teams will fare this year. I see a lot of teams in a bit of transition. Seems like every team has a couple of studs but then................ I believe the battle for the title this year is again between Bath and Allen East.

The Meet will be held at Shawnee this year.

Once again, the finals will be aired. However I was told that this year they will only air on WOSN, which is 44.2 over the air waves. If you are a Time Warner subscriber Andy Lnych suggested calling and checking to see if you can get that channel. I am not a time warner guy, I have the ole' rabbit ears still hooked up and I get this channel and will be watching the broadcast. If you can work it out, I would suggest you watch too and support the great job the guys at channel 44 do!

It is going to be a very fine show of the Allen County Talent again this year.

Some of the Weight Classes should really be a battle.

When is the tournament? DSJ should have a pretty good team this year but right now most of them are just taking off their pads. The later it is, the better we should do.

The county tournament is this saturday the 18th. I going to say the outstanding wrestler will come from the 130 weight class if everyone I've heard is there. merschman sp? meeks mcdormitt sp? lovejoy and the brinkman that didn't wrestle last year. Should be a good one.

Maybe, maybe not - alot depends on when their alpha results will allow them to go to that weight + some coaches may place their wrestlers in another wt. class, depending on where they think they can score the most points. Is Elida at the Allen County this year or did they decide to schedule something else? If Elida is there - they could figure into the race for a championship along with Bath, and Allen East.

Elida is in this year... with the changes to WBL scheduling, they should be in from now on... allow for an additional event outside of league competition. Got all the league duals in using less participation points.

I think McDermitt wins 130 and Meeks wins 135. Outstanding wrestler will go to Lovejoy 171 from AE or Miller from Delphos Jefferson. Also Lima Senior's Brady Shafer is looking good at 152.

What about 103, 112, 119, these lower weights? What are the predictions there?

According to the alpha list all the wrestlers that i mentioned are capable of being at 130, if they are who knows? It will be easier to make predictions once the teams have entered thier lineups. Pualf sp?

I'll try to answer. 130 looks tough. Not sure about meeks. Wilson lowest alpha is 140, not sure where he is. Allen east's line up won't be set til after christmas from what i hear. Dsj should have a pretty solid team.

Not sure where Meeks will be - I think he will win no matter where he goes. I think Baths line-up depends on if they can hold their own on Thurs. against Wapak. If some of their younger wrestlers come through on Thurs. (and there are several good freshmen (3) who wrestled well this past weekend at the Sparta Highland Tournament and 2 starters not in the line-up at the super-tri and Highland) - then I would say they will have the same line-up on Sat. This doesn't help much, but more can be said after Thurs.

A shot in the dark but maybe it will boost discussion. 103 shawnee 112 bible 119 mccormick 125 brinkman 130 mcdermit 135 meeks 140 wilson 145 musser 152 dues 160 conyers 171 lovejoy 189 sturgill 215 miller 285 bluffton. These are total guesses.

I know Wilson has alphaed, but he is yet to wrestle.? Would like DSJ's team alot better if they werent missing 2 Dist. and 1 State qualifier. 152 and heavy didnt come out. And Grubenoff (215, sq) has torn acl from football. To bad too, would have liked to see him and Miller go at it.

What weights has Meeks wrestled? Have seen no Bath individual results all year.(yea i know its only been 2 weeks but still). Someone in WBL needs to send individual results to Jamie Baker at sportsbuzzohio.com! He gives daily results when he gets them. And we will have some idea tommorrow afternoon about seed nominations. Baums closes at 11:00 am tommorrow. I know things can change Sat. morning, but we will have some idea.
