I have seen alot of excellent post on here late that I would really like to give a "thumbs up" to. It is possibel to get a "like" button. It could just be a thumbs up or a thumbs down at the side of each post.

I know Slice Baby has asked about this before. I think alot of us would enjoy it. You can get an idea of it if you get the Lima new web sight online. They have it in
on their message boards!!!

I too would LIKE to see the feature facebook has about liking posts. Some boards also have where you can add or subtract karma from a person if you liked or disliked their post too.

Also, are you choosing the thumbs up/down on the topic only or all individual replys also?

On the 'like' system, if you 'like'd a specific post/reply, it simply says how many ppl also liked it, & if you scroll over the 'like' you can see whom the individuals were that liked your statement.... It's not used for an overall topic subject, just individual posts/responses....

In the thumbs up/down formats, I'm having trouble remembering if you can see who gave you the thumbs up/down, or not.... It's been a long while since I've been to any of those sites...

There also is a 'reputation's or 'karma' point system, as tigger spoke of, that ppl can essentially do the same thing.... You can add or subtract 'karma' from individual ppl's posts depending on if you agreed/+karma or if didn't like/- karma. On this system, I can't remember if everyone can see how each person 'voted', but, the 'owner' of the indiviual post voted on has a place where they can check in to see whom gave positive or negative points/karma/reputation, if I'm remembering correctly.

What the benefits of the systems are is that even though you may not have any actual reply post in regards to a statement from someone, you can simply let them know by a simple like/dislike of what you thought of their post.... I like the idea of the anonymity of a couple of the sysytems, as well.... Anything similar to any of the above mentioned would def be a plus, though!

Thats kinda my fault...the whole "news team" kinda fell thru. No one wanted to send the stories even tho we were offering press passes that DO get you into games for free...I know that they work from experience. I've been slacking too not writing a story from the games I attend. Taking pictures and answering texts to my phone, I kind of lose the flow of the game. So aside from stats, its hard for me to write a story and give the reader a feel for the action.

Not a problem at all. That's the way it goes sometimes.

Who needs stories? Just find some random sports rant and go off on it. Find some others to do it too. I bet you could update several times a week with that.

Did you check out the "like it" button at the bottom left of topics. If you click it the topic will be added directly to your facebook wall.

How long we had this?? I hadn't seen it 'til you pointed it out. (after i figgered out my left from my right ) .. GREAT!

Can we expect a way to 'like' individual posts w/in a thread at any time in the future? (just never 'good enough', always wanting more, huh?)

I was just thinking about this....... This will be 'giving away' ppls identity.... Only an issue for those who like their anonymity here. Not all of us were clever enough to come up with names on facebook that aren't really ours.

I LIKE IT!!

It will give those whom are members of facebook that want to remain totally anomymous from our site the ability to still express their + or - thought on a topic without their name being exposed.....

A couple things about that....from seeing where some others have did the facebook like, it appears that for anyone to see who you are is that you'd already have to be friends w/them on facebook, otherwise your name doesn't seem to appear to everyone here on the site for viewing...just as a another 'like'.

downside to it is, that if ppl decide to not use that particular tool because of the privacy aspect of it, it's less 'advertisment' on fb for our site.

BUT!! At least we all have the choice!! Thanks for hooking us up, sis!!
