I am a little young to think TOO far back, but I really think it is now between LeBron and Art Modell as the most hated figure in Cleveland sports lore. LeBron just kicked Cleveland in the nuts on national television to say he was playing for the Miami Heat. Talked about loyalty and such, yet is bailing on the hometown team.

No city cares for any team like Cleveland cares for the Browns. It's all Modell and always will be. Close the polls.

I have to say Art Modell....but LeBaby...a close second.......As heard on a Cleveland radio sports talk show today...the new man in Cleveland HAS to be Mike Holgrem.............GO BROWNS!!!

I never understood the hate for Art Modell.
He gave Cleveland how many chances to build a new stadium for the Browns and was shot down every time.
He knew what it took to get a championship and went to Baltimore and got one.

Victoria..... never understood the hatred for Art?.....you cannot be be a BROWNS fan....Yes he asked for a new stadium from the Cleveland fans/City...but No.. he said "I don't get what I want so I am going to take my ball and go home?!?!?!?!" This is what Art basically said to Cleveland fans...Art had the support of Cleveland fans and they supported him and the team thru hell and high water. True they did not build a new stadium for Art and his family....but you have to realize.............the Browns did not just belong to ART!.....The Browns are Cleveland and the way he left(very similar to LaBaby) was and is a cop out. Art saw big dollars on the east coast and ran.....same as LeBaby..LeBron sees that Miami COULD bring him much more money than he could earn in Cleveland, but his legacy will always be that he could not win on his own in Cleveland

Neither Kobe or Jordan would have won in Cleveland either with the cast of characters, coaching staff and front office management.

LeBron was set up to win the last couple of years..I know he needed a little more help, but he had a good supporting cast ..

Ted Stepien ... turned the Cavs into the Cadavers. Traded away or sold all draft picks. I believe the NBA now has some sort of rule that you can't trade your #1 pick in consecutive years because of this. Also, if memory serves me Cleveland was "given" an extra 1st round pick because the franchise was run so poorly under Stepien. This guy fired coaches faster than George Steinbrenner. I think he fired Joe Tait as announcer. Hey, at least Art Modell and LeBron tried to win. Ted Stepien may have been the worst sports franchise owner of all time.

I disagree. There's nothing there. Only one worth anything is JJ Hickson and maybe Jemario Moon/Leon Powe

Mo Williams would start on most teams.

But seriously, Kobe has Pau Gasol, Ron Artest, and Andrew Bynum. Boston has the big 4. What did Cleveland give Lebron? Mo Williams, Hickson, Moon, Powe, an aging Shaq, and Anderson Varajao. Can't fault him at all for moving, because he wasn't going to win a title in Cleveland. The way he did it was all wrong though.

Thats my though, didnt go about it the right way....also, I think by going to Chicago, you can say he left for a better TEAM...now its just 3 superstars on a team full of players that get paid the the lowest you can....

You'll be proud of our young people in the classroom, in the community, and most especially in 310 days in Ann Arbor, Michigan on the football field. - Jim Tressel

I am hearing a lot of reports about veterans seeking that first ring wanting to go to the Heat. Just willing to sign a minimum salary contract to get that ring!

He's in LA for other reasons than just basketball.
I'm suprised he stayed though, his minutes are going to get axed.

Can't say I agree on that. He wouldn't start for very many playoff teams. Maybe a couple.
