My bet is on Grove and Kalida to come out of this Sectional.

Grove has home field advantage and one good pitcher. plus the easier bracket.
Kalida needs to slip by Pandora without using too much pitching. Heard their bats beat up Ft. Jenning's Ace pretty good last week.

Rain could deside this sectional

Leipsic is up 12-0 on grove... good call though on the easier bracket since leipsic run ruled cory rawson once and pg twice and beat kalida by six and is now something like 16-6... yet still no respect

I think Grove shut out the Vikes during the regular season. Nice turn-around!

oh my bad. well i am not overlooking continental..but im still going to make an educated prediction. Miller City over Ctown by a few runs. assuming that Lammers will pitch this one. when he pitches it wont be a good night for the opposition, in the case Ctown. hes only given up three runs this year

Where did you get your education?

Miller City is 19-4...

Either their coach is doing one hell of a job, or they have other players outside of Lammers.

looked at the stats online and 7 out of the 9 starters are batting over .300. and one of them is like .290..im pretty sure one baseball player on a team cant win 19 games by himself

Coach Normous and Sportsnut

I was at the MC vs DSJ District game the other day. I was standing on the MC side near MC fans/parents. Prior to the game a parent of another MC player made the comment to another player's parent, "Insert players name- said Rusty's arm is killing him. Said that he can hardly lift it".

As I stood there and watched the game, it was obvious to me that Lammers did not have his best stuff. And it was obvious his arm was not healthy.

A while back I was criticized by you two for stating that I thought Lammers was throwing too many pitches too early in the season. I also stated that he should be throwing less early on, in order to build up endurance and strength for the tourney run. I also stated that I read where he had a history of arm troubles and that I would wanna save his arm for deep tourney runs.

Now, to see him get knocked around by DSJ, with a sore, tired, dead arm.........

If he "could barely lift his arm" as you say what an incredible miracle for him to be able to throw a baseball let alone pitch. I agree he did not have his best stuff, but it probably had more to do with only having 2 days rest instead of his usual 5-7 days. This had nothing to do with his pitching situation earlier in the season. Have you ever pitched? It is hard for people who haven't pitched to know what your arm feels like in the days after. Most of the time 2 days after is a little sore but after even 3 days rest it feels a lot better. Again, pitching early in the season had nothing to do with being sore after 2 days, this happens anyways.

Ya, I pitched "a time or two". Also, I do know what it's like to pitch on 2 or 3 days rest.

So was your arm a little sore after 2 days of pitching a complete game?
