I heard today they they narrowed the search down to two and interviewed and then now have a recommendation that they are taking to the board. I haven't heard any names. Anybody heard anything else?

Anybody have names yet on the 2 finalists? Anybody have a name for the guy they offered to a while back but turned it down?

Wes Schroeder from Leipsic is the new coach in C-town. This was published in the Crescent News yesterday. The gentleman who was offered and turned down the job was Matt Rau. Either way I wish all the best to Wes and hope that he can turn around the program.

I hear the basketball faithful keep the boys in the gym and don't want them on the ball field. Any truth to that?

Kevin loves his reds, he played baseball as a kid, he would not take that away from the boys. They r only young one, so enjoy their youth.

Just got the word Continental will not have Pony league this year. Not looking good for the future, if it's not an orange ball it's out.

We have a great ball diamond because of BOB QUIGLEY. Thank you QUIG for all the time /work you put into making that a nice ball field. Also the girls/ little league ball field that you manicure. The red brick clay you added looks great too!
Thats alot of mowing, dragging, line chalking and bases work you do. It gives us that Pirate Pride to watch games on a beautiful field. Thanks Quig!

Pathetic! I'm sure that it isnt entirely basketball's fault, but come on Continental! How many years since they had an ACME? Now this has filtered down to the Pony level?? Pathetic! I'm sure "some" people from Continental want to see baseball turn around for the better, but at this pace.......not gonna happen. I feel bad for the new high school coach over there. At this pathetic juncture......he won't stay long!

5 senoirs on this years team, only 11 players on whole team after two of them quit. No pony, no acme. I will bet they won't be able to field a varsity team next year. Who's fault is it ? I don't know, but I would guess that orange ball is some of the reason but not all of it.

Now there down to 10. One more quit today. They might not make it through this year.

Yet, this team seems to keep playing hard. Only lost 3-2 to Kalida last night, and lost 4-1 to Paulding tonight. Credit coach and players for continuing to press on as it would be easy to get down, give in, and get run-ruled.
