On a recent poll on ESPN the questino was when will Barry hit number 714....to my shocking suprising out of 43,000 votes 32% said he would never hit it....Is this suprising that there is so many people thinking he will never hit another homerun in his career??? I was shocked completely...

I think that Barry is a great player.....to hell with the steroid issue........the media is singling Bonds out, and nothing is being said about the rest of the users in all sports.......I say treat them all the same, and let's get everything out in the open on everyone......not just Bonds....

By the way.....Barry was a great player and had quite a few MVP's before the steroid issue!!!!!!!!!!!

ok i hope this isnt going to get heated but i will adress your statements, the reason bonds is getting singled out of everyone in the steroids allegations is because he is the closest to catching the most coveted baseball record ever!

and your second statement is completely true, which makes him look like an idiot in my opinion because he was great without the roids

i think the steroid issue is much more widespread than just barry bonds. a lot of the records that ahve been broken in the past ten years have probably been w/ the help of steroids, so i dont know if it is fair to single out barry.

I agree Barry is getting singled out more than others...the only reason is because he was gonig to tie the man who redefined baseball and was one of the biggest factors baseball is popular today....

ajax........

Well spoken......

I think it is also rather humorous when you consider that Sosa, Palmiero, and Mcguire are all gone.....when the heat was on, they all folded.......I admire Bonds for what he is doing......all the BS that he is putting up with just shows the mental toughness of this guy.....

Roids or no roids....715 HR's in today's baseball world is a remarkable achievement!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what about Jason Giambi? he was actually said he used steroids rather than bonds said he used them unknowingly. should bonds come out and just say it and people wil lforget it or is it different because bonds is breaking a very coveted milestone in baseball

A baseball historian said the Babe could've hit 1150 if the ball parks weren't so huge. I saw this on 1st and 10 today.

If he came out and said it I believe that his records wouldnt stand...right or wrong I still feel he did the best by saying that for himself because his records will still stand...may not stand well with other player analyst and baseball fans but for him he did what was needed...
