Willie Greene (almost good), Paul Householder (a depressing blast from the past), and oh my gosh- Brandon Larsen (Slow pitch softball player). Let me add Kurt Stillwell, and like it or not, Austin Kerns.

Gookie Dawkins...Ryan Wagner...Wily Mo Pena...Scott Scudder...Johnny Bench playing 3rd...

Gookie Dawkins!? Oh snap, I had forgotten about him (it was so easy to do).

If Bernie Kosar had chosen baseball and had become a third baseman, it would have looked like Bench did when he murdered third.

I don't think the Reds will overtake the Cards in the Central ... but you Reds fans are going to have a nice young team to root for ... and, with Rolen leading the way (if he can stay healthy) and influencing the youth, I can see a wildcard run (or better if Cards have injuries).

It has been 46 years since the Browns won something so I feel your pain. Sometimes I would like to follow another team but the Brownies are stuck to me like glue.

It's painful and really unbelievable a major city like Chicago and the money the Cubs have with WGN etc. Just think 101 years without winning a World Series.

Cardinals are the favorites. Pujols is the best player in the game hands down.

Might be because great pitchers traditionally might not want to pitch in that homerun hitters park. I know they have had their share of great pitchers (Maddox, Jenkins, Prior etc). I think that's why pitchers don't want to come to the Reds. Well, they suck too, so that's part of it. But i agree, 101 years is an amazing stretch.

Jenkins? I thought I was the oldest member of the Rocket. laugh.gif Good old Dusty ruined Prior. They let Maddox go to Atlanta actually for less money then the Cubs offered. They dragged their feet on that one.

IMO the Cardinals and the Cubs are the best in the central. Cubs need to stay healthy and Mr. Zambrano hopefully grows up and starts winning games. Looks like he lost weight and may be ready finally for a great year. I had Carpenter on my fantasy team. He is a real key to the Cardinals. He stays healthy they win, if he gets the injury thing going, Cardinals usually struggle without him.

I'm older than dirt. I played the bearded guy on Harry Potter. Anyway, I remember lots of Cubbies because of my Reds. Santo, Kingman (too bad nobody ever taught him how to hit), Ryne (I don't dive) Sandburg. Leon Durham, Bill (before the fall), Buckner.

The great armed shortstop in the late 80's, black guy, can't remember his name....

Shaun Dunston. Santo should be in the hall of fame.

Well, Harang dubbed the opening day starter. What are you thoughts and who else could they of used since Volquez is still injured?
