I'm anxiously awaiting mr slice's return check & it's already pretty well spent...... sleep.gif

as some of you know, baby has had some on-going health issues, so a large chunk of it will be going to pay off our $5000 deductible to various docs that we still owe on......I'm hoping to get a new washer & dryer outta it, too....... Dryer's prolly pushing it, but at least a new washer....

What about you? Have plans for your anticipated return?

I have been playing around with Turbo Tax to get a guestimate on how much I will get back. It looks like I should get more back this year then last year. I am getting good at finding deductions and taking advantage of them! Its always good to stick it to Obama!

As of know I am going to put it in my Savings Account. I was over at Best Buy about 10 days ago and those 47 inch LCD TV's looked very nice but the Conservative side of me will just save it!!!

I'm gonna wait till the last possible time....even tho I have enough deductions from my company to where that won't have to pay in and I'll get a refund personally...its such a headache I dont want to deal with right now.

I think we need to have a telethon to buy Slicer that Washer and Dryer!

This seems to be the latest and greatest model:

Very nice, I'm sure she'd like that model. BTW, is that a Whirlpool?

I am not sure what brand it is as its a bit fuzzy to read. Should we ask her if she wants 'Harvest Gold' or 'Avacado'?

All I know is that is the best model made!!!

Well, as flattered as I am that the two of you were thinking of me, but, that newfangled contraption looks a might too sophisticated for a person of my meager means..... Here's mr slice teasing me with a sneak peak of my new upcoming gift! Can't wait!! clap.gif pickles.gif

I didn't make enough to worry about filing, but my mom got hers while I was home for the weekend. Which meant I helped her spend it.

An LCD TV(had to make the most of the PS3 I got myself earlier in the year), MP3 player, PS3 game, 250 dollars worth of groceries, and the one thing every college student needs most(money in the bank) later, I'd say I got more than my share.

Did you have a Job that withheld taxes? If so you need to file to get that money back

Yeah, if you didn't make that much, you should get a FULL refund. All the money you piad in, even if it's "only" $100, that's beer money for a college kid (if you're over 21, of course!)

I usually owe around 5 grand so I'm one of those last minute filers you see pulling up to the post office.

I'd like to get a new dishwasher but divorce is too expensive so I'll just keep the old one.

I know that a lot of people like the government savings account (tax refund), but you would be better off owing Uncle Sam a little come April 15th.

All I know is I had some weird things this year, so deciding not to turbotax it this year. Even though I have been plugging numbers in to try and get an idea what I might be looking at. Have to wait on one thing to post...and they said they will start posting tax records around 2/15 and as late as 3/15....

I hope it's 2/15 because need to have one kids' Fasfa done by 3/15...(i know I can take and educated guess, but if I can make it look less I will)
