That comment was posted not to start to have people start in on all this! In the proccess of rebuilding a program it takes what it takes...the coach is very smart and the team did a vote..if someone didnt like it then they should have expressed their concerns...my bet is that the poeple complaining are kids parents that he may play over!! What makes the team better and helps rebuild the program is what is best!! Not necesaily if this kid plays or if this kid plays....let the coaches do the coaching and parents to the parenting!!

Wrong again Joe: Your bet is wrong. You don't need a kid on the team to realize this action was principly wrong. Doesn't matter what sport or activity it is, recruiting more players in the middle of season is wrong. Coach with what you have, don't recruit. You don't rebuild a program by adding kids one week before the tournaments start. By the way, did you witness a vote?

I agree with highschoolsports, it's not fair to allow players just come in in the middle of the season for tournament time. It is not fair to the others who have been playing and working on their game all season long.

Are they even allowed to do that in the middle of the season? I am wondering if OHSAA has any rulings to specify one way or the other?!?! huh.gif I was thinking there was a rule concerning when the final roster for the season had to be in and i thought once it was in, nobody could be added...

labatts69: You guess wrong. I am very aware of the situation. Seniors may be free to voice their displeasure, but underclassmen are not, as they do not want to jeapordize their chances for next year. We'll leave this out of the public forum until the season is over, then the school will be asked to define or re-define the policy for future years.

It should have been left out to begin with. No one jeopardizes their playing time if they are the best at that position whether they have a problem or not with a situation. I will leave it at that as I am not getting into something on a public forum that should have been taken care of with the coach. If you or your son has a problem take it to the coach and stop complaining on a public forum.

I know this is a sectional drawing topic but a quick comment in Holgate's defense. They may not be as good this year but the reason is they start one senior, one junior, 3 freshman, and four sophomores. It is a learning season for them. Watch out in a couple of years.

So you are saying them and C-town should have a good show down at the end of the year? Good luck against P-ville.
