When I was playing and now coaching I always respected the fact that a player WANTED to be in the game, in fact, wanted the ball! All of that said, the coach in me says once you make the call to have a seat then have a seat and we will get them next time. The entire team has a role to play and the only way to win is for everyone to play that role 110% each and everytime you lace them up....

Roll on....

Farvre's interest are only for the team as long as he is the catalyst for those victories. Think about it: He came to the team as a final piece to supplement Peterson. In the early games, all of his passing was ball control. Now he is the focal point of the offense. And we all have seen that when his pass nembers go up, he takes more chances and throws more picks. Him showing up his coach like that in the press conference was the ultimate in low class. I would sit him next game on principal alone. How can you expect the rest of the players to respect the coach when the future HOF QB doesn't?

I can respect you opinion, some say it looks funny, my take is, he loves football and loves winning. This has kept him young. But the minute anyone questions 1 thing he does, he gets offensive, and pouts worse than a fat kid with no cake. Regarding this past weekends games, really, pulling him out in a close game? It was obvisouly the o line not protecting. You could see that on tv, we dont even get coaches view. My point is, which also regards to all QBs no matter age, you play football, if you cant take a hit or want to take a hit GET OUT! Farve obvisouly dont care, he just wanted to win. Now when you have puss boys like Brady who is scared to take a hit (I dont care about his injury) then dont play football. Real football was played 25 years ago, wish I could have watched it.
You'll be proud of our young people in the classroom, in the community, and most especially in 310 days in Ann Arbor, Michigan on the football field. - Jim Tressel

Good grief....over 3 days later and Favre is still babbling about it....exactly as I said he would. And he won't take any blame for the incident...again, just as I said. The Vikings are about to implode just like the Jets did when things went bad and Brett started to cry.

Chevy Chase.......

Please, get your facts straight before you make stupid comments......I think you are listening to the media(ESPN) way to much....try logging on to the Vikings web page for some accurate info.....then come back and carry on an intelligent conversation.....Favre and Childress both have stated the whole thing has been blown out of proportion......when news stories are scarce, the media will do anything to create controversy....and some people bite......hook, line, and sinker.... fish2.gif .....chevy.....lol!!!!!!!!!!

flounder, funny thing is the information on the Vikings site is very "watered down" compared to the actual comments I listened to on ESPN Radio....ACTUAL COMMENTS spoken by Brett Favre.....not some "feel good, everything's ok" story written by the Vikings staff. Do you really think that the Vikings want all their fans to know that an implosion is imminent? In cases like this, the media tends to report more truth than you will get from the team itself.

Chevy.......

LOL...ESPN.....they are the worst source possible to listen to.....ESPN reminds me of a Republican candidate trying to get a fair shake from NBC, CBS, or ABC.........and we all know how that goes.....this isn't the first time ESPN has screwed up in the sprts world....get on the Vikings web page today and go to Brett's interview.....he even states that the media has blown everything out of proportion........go check!!!!!!!!!!

Its been a very slow Sports week so ESPN needed to stir the pot. The NFL Playoffs are almost set, The Tiger Woods thing is more of a Tabloid thing now, The NBA and NHL and College Basketball doesn't really get rolling till after New Years.
