Mathmatically the Browns are the worst team in the league and in line for the number one pick in the draft. Tied with the Buccaners and Rams with 1-9 records, the winning pct of combined records of teams played thusfar puts the Browns #1 in tiebreakers.
Not that it really matters given past history.
Obviously, given the recent history of Ohio State's ownership of all that is Michigan and the depressd economic status of the state, the football gods reached out yesterday and gave the people of Michigan something to be happy about.....a Lions victory in stunning fashion. Fans of football in Michigan could care less that it was the Browns whom their rookie QB threw for 450 yards and 5 TD's against. NFL records I might add.
Well at least we saw that Brady Quinn can throw the ball downfield when given time. Of course it too came against the Lions, so lets not get too excited but looking forward to see if he continues to improve. He is better than the other guy for sure but not sure what that means at this point.

In Brady Quinn's star-crossed career, he hadn't had many hours like the first hour of the Detroit game Sunday. In fact, he'd never experienced anything like the three-touchdown-pass first quarter and the 24-3 lead he built. How the first quarter Sunday compared to his first two-and-a-half years in the NFL:
Days Games Quarters Attempts TDs
Previous pro career *940 9 27 205 3
Sunday 1 1 1 10 3
*Days in Quinn's professional career since being drafted by the Browns -- prior to Sunday.

Charlie Weis OC
Eric Mangini HC/BMOC
Having studied the ineptitude of all the bad teams thus far the browns are far and away the most deserving of the first pick in the draft which history has shown more often than not wrecks teams financially and seldom produces a ProBowler. The circle of life continues.

NO...........remember way back when we hired mangini right off the bat when I said Gruden would be coming available? I want Holmgren GM, Gruden coach and Mangini and Crennell never to be mentioned again. I know never will happen but I can wish.

Browns given blackout extension
12/3/2009, 4:21 p.m. EST
The Associated Press
(AP) — BEREA, Ohio - The NFL has given the Cleveland Browns a 24-hour extension to sell the remaining tickets for Sunday's game against San Diego and avoid a TV blackout.
As of Thursday afternoon, the Browns said there were "a few thousand tickets" left. For a game to be aired on local TV, the league requires a game to be sold out 72 hours before kickoff.
The Browns have until 4 p.m. Friday to sell the tickets. The team has not had a game blacked out since its expansion return in 1999.
After Sunday's game, the Browns have three more home dates. A Dec. 10 game against Pittsburgh is already a sellout, but there are tickets available for games against Oakland and Jacksonville.

No one said they weren't terrible.....they are. Now, while they have so many problems that one could not even attempt to cover, the typical Browns fan does see a smidgen of positive at the end of the tunnel.
1. Brady Quinn is still better than DA and if given players around him can be decent NFL QB. The Browns are now playing with third teamers and guys just off the practice squad and waiver wire but seem to be playing hard.
2. Obviously not a fan of Mangini yet but if we could get a high profile GM to run the program, he might end up being a servicable coach given he does not seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.
3. After watching the Texas/Nebraska game, if you dont draft that Suh guy you are nuts!
4. You don't have to watch.....Go jump on that Bengal bandwagon!
