you always negative?...wow... huh.gif

Yes, in the short time I've been on here it seems Theo and all the other LTC faithful have a big problem with Putnam County schools, and anybody else who even remotely plays a physical brand of soccer. Seems like sour grapes to me, but oh well. To each his own...

GOOD LUCK is what should be said to the area team. Good luck OG - represent NW Ohio and the Lima/Findlay area well!

OGs first goal was in no way in freemans hands... it was poor marking by bluffton.. one of OG's forwards was hanging out on the back post unmarked eating a sandwhich (bologna i believe) and the ball was played across and he put it in.. was only maybe 3 yards off the goal line.. Overall thought OG was the better team bluffton would get the ball forward and not know what to do with it because no one was getting forward.. Congrats to both teams and good luck to OG!

On OG's second goal, the Bluffton defenders hung Freeman out to dry....they thought OG had a guy offsides and just put a hand up and quit playing. They had done this a couple times earlier in the game but luckily hadn't given up anything. I've never seen defenders try to get an offside call by just putting their arm up and giving up on the play. In this case it cost thema game.

Not being negative.... Just predicting what I think the outcome will be. OG is good, but their long ball style won't win the tough games.

Um, didn't they beat your team?

OG should take that 2-0 win as a compliment. TC gets beat by St. Ig in a scrimage 2-0, and in the media they mention that as some badge of honor. Good for them. Maybe it is.

OG beats them by same score. So to use the logic, OG is as good as St. Ig.? Congrats OG.

OG is not as good as New Knoxville then using your logic? They scored 5 on Temple.... Or Van Wert who scored 4 on Temple? Good thing OG isn't playing against them!

Funny, because I still haven't seen any one of the Temple players/posters congratulate OG or give any sense that they feel OG is a good team. There seems to be some lack of respect in that regard...

There is no doubt OG is a good team they play a tough schedule if they played a D3 schedule all year around they would probably be in the top 10 all year there is no doubt about that...I don't know that OG does anything spectacular there ball skills aren't anything great they do have some amazing speed and a solid defense but who said that's how it has to be , pretty or spectacular? They are winning and that's all that matters. I am someone who would have been categorized as wanting TC to win, I like rooting for the underdog but OG is winning, and doing it at all the right times, they seem to have a strong tradition of doing so over there in Ottawa.

Don't know much about temple but why would you root or congratulate a team with 208 boys. They should be expected to easily win state in DIII after dropping down from DII.

OG guy here, we have been hearing that all throughout the tourny this year. We didnt define or set the # of boys that separates division II from III. But I guarantee we werent complaining last year in Div II when we were the smallest school in the division. We bounce back and forth from year to year. Not our kids' fault. Im dissapointed you would suggest because we have a larger enrollment our kids are less deserving of congratulatory remarks. HORRIBLE post.
Please realize that we also are large enough to have and support football as well while only one of the teams we have played in the post season also supports a football program.
I am proud of this teams accomplishments regardless of the division.
Way to go OG I couldnt be prouder of these kids.

The point is you all ran around town telling who would listen how great it was to hang in there with St. Ig. So showing the absurdity by being absurd, I used the TC logic. Wasn't my logic. It's your crowd.

Relax. It was a good season. You are out of the tournament. You had a good run. The better team moved on. I don't see what the hang up is against the PC teams. I would think you'd be a bit more congratulatory without the prompts from the crowd. With your basketball tourney brackets, you all will be almost like neighbors .

not sure why you are dissing OG whats up with that???? it only took scoring 2 on temple to beat them, they didnt have to score 4 or 5 or even 3....

I'm not dissing them. I simply stated they won't win state playing their style. Just my prediction....

Whether they win State or not, the idea of tounament play is win your next game until you meet a better team that sends you home. OG moves on.
Now they need to win again.

The problem with being in a tournament - at the end, only 1 team is the winner.
Everyone else has went home defeated and usually unhappy.

Win or lose I know this. O-G will play an exciting brand of soccer. I've been to many state finals and sat in the stands thinking how painful this brand of soccer is to watch.

There was a post earlier that said og won win state playing that style. I think their style fits them perfect. Possess when they need to and use your speed and depth.

Good luck O-G!

Ok honestly who cares about what style of play is the right way to win state or not..i never knew there was such an appropriate style that u had to play in order to win state...In my opinion Temple fans u had a great season unfortunately it came short after the defeat by OG...but that happened a few weeks ago so get over it...not exactly sure why some of u have to criticize OGs style of play when actually it obviously worked against u guys...Now im not from OG and i was even at the Temple/OG game and thought they played great...I could go on about the game but then again who cares that happened a few weeks ago its over and i would rather talk about OGs next opponent....But furthermore what exactly defines the perfect style to play in order to win state?? I dont think there is such a designated style that u have to play in order to win state....everyone has their own unique way of winning games, whether its a way that one likes or one dislikes it dont matter if they continue to win games like that...if teams play the over the top ball style of play then let them, if teams/fans dont like that way then do somethign about it on the field..not every PC team plays that way they r just more physical/dirty than most teams and thats what will help down in state is that physical aggressive play something that i thought Temple lacked

I said from the beginning that D3 soccer is not as strong as other years....and i still stand by it..I think any team could come out and play well enough to make a run in tournament and thats exactly what OG is doing...it doesnt take the most talented team or the whatever kind of style of play that people are talking about to win state...it just takes heart and determination to go out and simply outplay ur opponent which like i said is exactly what OG is doing...

So good luck OG!
