Sorry I am not the scholarly type, Dissents only words needed to be "Ottoville played hard, scored one more time than Kalida, Congrats and good luck!"
Not all that other BS!

According to Earl..."Karma is a very complex Buddhist principle. It’s the totality of a person’s actions which determines the fate of the next stage of their existence.
Do good things and good things happen. Do bad things and bad things happen."
Perhaps this is the red card he deserved for another foul that was more deserving but wasn't awarded at the time? I don't know...just thinking outside the box.

The funny thing about sports in general is that a referee is supposed to call what happens in a game and not have outside influences including the crowd and past events outside of the current game. So that would go back to a point that either he was a bad referee or it was a garbage red.

I dont know why im not seeing more posts about this Kalida/Ottoville game? im still shocked to know that Ottoville knocked Kalida AGAIN!!!
I mean that makes it three years in a row!
You know ill give Kalida credit tho of them three years they did have a great team and Ottoville had a pretty good team the last two years...but ive heard about how Ottoville is playing and for them to lose 5 of their last 6 in the season and then turn it around and beat once again Kalida! now that is what i call taking a huge step in the other direction! This in my opinion would have to be the most disappointing tournament loss in Kalida soccer history

This loss was very shocking to me as well, I did not get to see it because I was still at work, but this is not the most shocking in the programs history. I would rank this one probably the 4th worst is recent memory. I will give my top four and anyone is free to add their own opinion or game for that matter, just in case I forgot one.
1. 2000: Kalida vs. Temple: Kalida was loaded that year and actually beat Temple during the season by a score of 4-1, but in tourney, a certain freshman keeper kept K-Town from advancing to regionals.
1a. 2003: Kalida vs. Ottoville: Kalida was ranked #3 in the state and coming off of two straight trips to state, and lost to ottoville by a score of 2-1.
3. 2004: Kalida vs. Fort Jennigs: Jennings was #1 in the state at the time I believe and Kalida was 5 minutes away from taking the game to overtime with much of the momentum IMO, but a late goal with roughly 3 minutes left sent Kalida home by a score of 2-1
4. 2009: Kalida vs. Ottoville: Now I can't comment on the game itself because like I said I was at work but I did watch the team play through the year and at times they looked strong and at other times they looked bad. Now I didn't expect them to lose but I knew it was always a possibility, so that is why I placed it at #4
Also, did you know that 2003 was the first year in which Kalida didn't make it out of its home field bracket, a streak which has now last through 2009? Now I'm not trying to casue any controversy but how is it that Kalida is suppose to have this "home field advantage" when we haven't gotten out of the bracket in 7 YEARS! Most of the teams are no more then 10 miles from Kalida and bring just as many fans to the game as Kalida. Now it would be different if a team like Mansfield Christian was coming to Kalida to play a tourney game but the teams are all from Putnam County. Like I said I am not trying to cause an uproar or defend DISSENT, he dug his own hole and now must deal with the consequences, but I just needed to speak my peace.
