O'K grandpa "Toffeeman", in my juvenile years in soccer, I have never seen a "head tackle".

Got ya man. Was a unfair on my behalf. I do get tired in my old age and I'm real tired right now, really tired last night. So, I bury my hatchet.

I was only defending the KID, not the hit.

And I come from a long line of candy makers...

Toffeeman:

No offense taken, and I do like a good "spirited" debate/discussion on soccer.

Agreed.

This happened last season. Why bring it up now? What's the point Theodore? I see you started one on JJHuddle as well... If you have a problem with LB players/coaches/whomever, take it up with them. There's no reason to start a "crusade" against the young man in this video you are apparently trying to disparage.

It was a bad foul. He got carded. Your team still won the game. It's been almost a year. Get over it…

This was brought up because of another post stating there were "no yellow cards and no cheap hits" in that game. The video clip debunked them both. Not too mention livened up this too quiet forum!

Silly question, "why are so many people always so concerned about the offender in these situations?" I'm not trying to pick a fight with you Toffeeman (but I may be with you SirSpeedy).

More importantly, what is with the banner ad, "BEST FREE WEB GAME" somewhat distracting, heh? Maybe this ought to be it's own topic. wub.gif

Aggred on the banner ad...

My main point is that too often good people get judged by others for an isolated incident which in 99% of their daily lives would never occur. However, when people see said incident they automatically label that person based on one action, go to internet forums & now that person is a savage. Others read it, take it for gospel & spread the word. Now we have a person known for one incident that quite possibly is completely out of character & not an accurate representation of that person at all.

Toffeeman:

Well put, I couldn't have said it any better. That was a savage hit though?!

You don't belong in this or any forum with comments like that! I hope you aren't a current player, because if you have this mentality, some innocent player will get hurt, and for what?

First of all it should've been a red card. I really dont see how you can accidentally do that to someone in a game. Awful play..... sad.gif

ok first off...ya it was a dirty foul and shouldve been a red card and nothing less...but the point is u r going to face dirty and foul play all over the place...I for one dont like it, but u know what that is how competitive sports are..not just in soccer but in all of sports...now you will come across athletes that make a dirty foul much like what we just seen here and not care about the condition of that athlete, then you will come across some athletes that make the same dirty foul , but has the heart to make sure that the other athlete is ok...now the officials try to do their best to keep control of the game altho some let it get out of hand, foul play seems to get worse and worse every year so officials r trying to watch out for it as best they can (at least they need to) but anyways basically ur gonna come across a player or team that just plain out plays dirty...the only way u can stop it, is just prepare ur team for them kind of situations...as a coach u dont like to be on the receiving end of it, but thats just how some teams play and u can either love them or hate them..ya its not right when u get a player like we seen and makes a hard foul like that and doesnt even care about the condition of the other player, and we all know that its wrong and we can say all we want about them kind of heartless players, but the best thing to do is just get over it and just prepare ur team for the worse cuz u can make all these rules about sportsmanship and what not, but its just not gonna stop someone from making a hard foul...all i can say is good luck to all the teams out there and hope that we dont have to discuss too much about foul play or anything concerning that for much of this season

Ok i am so sick of this topic. The L.B kid who will go unnamed although many who have played aginst him kno who he is. Hes a tough player he plays a lil rough and knows how to get away with it. But u make him out like he was looking for blood and was all about hurting this kid. he would never do that. I'd stake anything on the fact it was a miss timed tackle he went up for the ball so SirSpeedy A "head tackle" in this case would make sense why would he put himself at risk i.e hurting himself with a head or neck injury just to try and hurt this kid. This is rubbish and it may be a lil biased but i have played with the kid for years in club and he played findlay premier with me i kno him on a diffrent level then most of u who just see him as some kid.... This topic is a blatent attempt to bad mouth L.B and L.B soccer in general this needs to stop and i think we all need to look inside our selfs and realize what where doing to him by even talking about this he does feel bad i talked to him at a football game the other night and the fair so drop it.

He put himself in danger by delivering a dirty blow? How, by possibly getting a scratch on his elbow as it was driven through the kids head?

This topic needs to be about dirty blows altogether! Some believe that "soccer" has been transformed into "sock-em".

Doesn't his school have football? Or did Elida put a stop to that ?

You guys have all been missing the very point that I made in my first post & soccerwatcher just reiterated. For whatever the intended purpose of this thread you are all bashing an individual without regard to the impact it may be having on him. This is the very reason privacy rights exist for minors. But why think about someone's rights when there is an agenda to propagandize?

Like Mr. Chelsea said its all part of the game.. It may have been dirty but every player puts their selves in danger when they lace their boots up and walk on to the pitch..

The question was did the hit look intentional or accidental. It could of happened 10 years ago...thats not the point here.
