Just a side note and not trying to hijack this thread, but wanted to post that wrestling offically starts this year in Ada with the start of a jr high program. If not mistaken, each year foward, it will progress until they have a varsity program installed. Congrats and Good Luck in this "new" sport for the Bulldogs.

I think I would put LCC ahead of Lincolnview this coming season. LCC had no seniors this past year, placed ahead of Lincolnview in the NWC Championship 2009 with only 8 teammates.

Who all did we lose to graduation in the NWC conference?

Adog, that's great news for Ada!! Hppe they do will in the Jr High NWC conference

Although wrestling certainly isn't a sport I follow closely, I do tend to pay more attn. to a couple of the schools in the league & I tend to agree w/4me in placing the 'Birds ahead of LV for standings.... Is Jefferson dropping down that far too w/o Obie? He was a SR, wasn't he? And is Paulding that doing that well in wrestling? I don't know, just asking....

Allen East seniors were; Zack Stephens, Jeremy Pryer, Garrett Freeman, Matt Dues......I can't 'member if Kyle Fields wrestled as a SR or not....???? I'm sure I'm missing some, so if I remember any more later I'll add them & if anyone thinks of any I've missed for AE, please add them!

Good to hear about the Ada program, adoggie!
Good luck & much success 'Dogs!

Obie's as in Obringer? He is senior this year Slice but I believe you're thinking Stuart Miller. Miller graduated from Delphos Jeff this year. Obie is from Spencerville. As for Paulding, they did very well placing 4th in the NWC conference championship last year, but I am not sure how many of them were seniors. Did Paulding lose Jared Deatrick to Graduation?

Thanks, nwcfan......I knew Kyle was a SR, just wasn't positive if he had wrestled last yr....... I don't know why he wouldn't have, but just wasn't sure....Like I said, I'm just a very casual wrestling follower.

Yes, another 'brain hiccup', 4me.....Got my "ie"s crossed...... Stu'ie' w/Ob'ie'......I indeed was referring to Stuart Miller.....Thanks!

And as far as Paulding, as I said, I knew/know nothing, so thanks for catching me up a bit there......I know we have lots of Panther posters, so hopefully some will show up in the wrestling forum to help you out on your q. smile.gif

Matfan who is L.L.C. laugh.gif

Jefferson placed dead last last year and they lost Miller to Graduation. Who do they got coming in that makes you think they will be placing better this year?

Top 4???? In no order....
Spencerville, Bluffton, and I am going to say Allen East only because there coach is so tough. As for the 4th team I think it's up for grabs.

My bad, meant L.C.C. If I remember correctly, they had 5 freshmen and 3 sophomores in the starting line-up, just thinking maybe a year under the belt could mean something. Also only lost 2 seniors from a full line-up.

Yes, I totally agree! By the way, I saw the heavyweight for LCC on the garbage truck the other day and he looked huge, maybe he will give Obie a good match this year?

So who is in the weight room and what are the boys doing for fall wrestling? OSU has a clinic going 2x a week for 6 weeks. Anyone other colleges around got anything going on?

I'm not an expert when it comes to the Panther wrestling program, but I believe they will stay consistent this year. We lost State Alternate senior Brian Porter, senior Chris Rohrs and a few others i believe. However, Jared Deatrick is back and will add senior leadership to the Panther squad. I believe Tyler Rohrs will also be wrestling which will bring additional experience into the fold.
