shotput will definately go to green, archer has been struggleing lately. Discus could go to a handful of people. Ross thatcher Brent Maag and Snyder all have the potential to take the title, but in disc you never know with the wind because they are all righty's and i know tenhundfeld from elida is a lefty and a kid from st. marys, a cross wind coming towards the ring from the right is a leftys dream and vice versa for rightys. I have seen the elida kid throw some that looked good and could compete but he always fouls the pretty ones.....we shall see the day of leagues b/c anything can happen and that includes random injuries and/or fueds with coaches

I know for a fact that snyder has way better form then Bret Magg From OG and from Ross Thatcher from Van Wert

Facts are that Thatcher threw over 153' last Saturday... And Maag threw 151' tonight against Columbus Grove's Vogt who threw 153'. Impressive for a very cold, wet and unfavorably windy night... I've never seen anything on Snyder over 144'..?..
But that's why they compete in the ring and not on paper... Should make for a good WBL meet!!!

Brett Maag has my vote..his warm up throws look impressive! By the WBL Meet,Maag will be finding his "groove"and throwing his best. Anyone who knows form and technique has to realize, its only a matter of time before he cuts loose and really uncorks one. There's a lot of good kids and good throwers in the WBL. But Maag is who I think has the most potential to bring it strong, when the meets get serious.

Snyder happens to be one of the most composed throwers in the wbl with form better than the whole league he wont get in mind games like most throwers like thatcher (vw) magg (og) cough cough

Thatcher VW and Maag OG are both coached by Rick Maag of Columbus Grove... He has coached 5 state champions at CG... I would agree with previous entries that they would have the edge when it comes to form...

[/quote]And how exactly does that show they're undissapplined?! Seems to me,kids should be praised for being serious enough to find extra help...its called going that extra mile.

Coach Maag spends about 7 days a week at the track and helps kids from all over... OG's Maag is his nephew... VW's Thatcher and OG's Maag are good friends... Believe they have even gone to throwing camps together...
Always seemed liked personable and respectful kids to me...

Going to camps are a great resource for kids. But having someone close by,who REALLY knows the event or activity is even better. If my kid was a thrower, I'd be doing what was best for him...I'd be giving Big Rick a call.

With no offense to the Shawnee throwers...I'd like to see Maag win. 2 reasons...First,a Maag throwing Discus is kinda like taking my kids to an all u can eat buffet..the natural thing happens...Secondly, his first dog left me a present on the back seat of my car. But Rosie could come with his game face on...Good luck to all.

Rosie only goes game face in the 100 m dash and the 4*100. For some reason the big fat turd thinks he is a sprinter. ohmy.gif

That was the first and only time, although it was about 2 years before Brett was born. Lol,and everytime I see or hear of his family,I think of that dog!
