The Lady Pirates travel to play Crestview in another scrimmage Thursday night, @ 4:30.. This should be a good contest also. We lost to them in the DISTRICTS last year. I believe we are stronger than last year as a whole.

Thought I'd start a thread about our dear Lady Pirates. That way the PCL thread can be PCL and not just about the Pirates.

Weather looks good this week -- 70+ tomorrow. Hope outdoor practice goes well ! HUGE difference playing in the gym and outside.

Good Luck Lady Pirates and Coaches Eding and Striecher

watch for Pirate softball coming soon to zsportslive

It was a good practice scrimmage, alot of miscues were apparent. Jess could not get the corner strike call, Cambria took a fastball off her arm above elbow. She held her ground didn't bailout of box. They play Saturday weather permiting....lol

Delphos Jeff, came to town. The Lady Pirates hit their pitcher hard. Marlene Bradley had a HR, fielding looked better. Players moving to their correct spots on bunt attempts. As April aproaches the regular season is about to begin. So lets get behind our Lady Pirates and cheer them to a PCL title. hifive2.gif

Ok lets go lady Pirates lets get a good season in this year!! so anyways how many coaches does it take to teach the team? It just seems like we got alot of coaches in the stands that want to tell the girls what to do? YOUR NOT THE COACH SO LET THEM PLAY HOW THEY WANT TO PLAY!! thats why we got 2 good coaches that knows how to play the game!! so just back off and let them play!! this is just going back to the girls basketball...everyone wants to coach but they need a new coach!!!

Elmo -- you are saying the softball team needs a new coach?!?!?!? You do realize Eding and Striecher were Co-Coaches of the Year last year? If you are going to start your coaches rant now for softball, just go away. angry.gif

Elmo,
Softball is a different program than basketball, and this is a Softball thread "NOT BASKETBALL", so please leave the basketball drama to the basketball thread. wallbash.gif

Say something positive to the girls and coaches or don't say anything at all.

The girls and coaches have done a great job so far this year, so lets encourage them. clap.gif

I DID NOT SAY ANYTHING WRONG ABOUT THE COACHES!! I SAID THERE IS PEOPLE IN THE STANDS THAT ACT LIKE COACHES AND THEY NEED TO SHUSH UP AND LET THE COACHES DO THE JOB!!! EDING AND JORDAN ARE VERY GOOD COACHES AND I HOPE THEY KEEP IT LIKE THAT FOR AWHILE!!

The Lady Pirates went to Viking town, got the win and alittle wet....lol. The air wuz chilly and damp. The Lady Pirates found a new act in their outfield OOOPs I slipped.....lol. Good thing she didn't get injuried. Pitching was tough for Jess, the corners got smaller when she was pitching....lol. She overcame this. Trusted her D.

Any word on the tourny draw? Were the girls seeded? On a side note, what are the stats for some of the other PCL individuals?

Finally got to see another game! A bit sluggish against P-G early but a win is a win. A few base running blunders cost the Pirates a few runs but it was another step closer to their second consecutive PCL crown. Good luck the rest of the way.

Hey coaches, nice move putting brown at second base. It was hard to believe she was in outfield last year.... Good job Jessica B.
