Whitney Ellerbrock is consistant around the plate. Just not much speed yet. Cambria Grime has the arm strength just needs the playing time, so she can relax. Ky Holtsberry has filled in for Jess, does a fine job. The thing is she can play so many more positions than pitcher. I think she will fill in at second nicely. Cambria has played every position except catcher.

I think coaches Eding and Streicher will have another GREAT year! Looking forward to it.

Cambria Grime-third base, pitcher
Stephanie Burke-catcher or first base
Whitney Ellerbrock-second base, pitcher.
These are some of the sophomores coming up to varsity.

Sure Jess can play other positions, but she is an excellent pitcher with fantastic speed.
I think TBF may have been talking about Kyliegh being able to play multiple postions. No need for Jess to do anything but throw smoke!

Multiple people in multiple positions is fantastic.
Pirates are definitely the team to beat. I see them as pre-season pick as PCL Champs.

Jess has been working very hard to get stronger and improve her game.
The only weakness I see is finding a strong enough catcher to fill McKean's shoes.
Other than that, the Pirates are going to be a very well rounded team this year.
They have a tremendous amount of talent.

Totally agree Bucks. There is alot of talent this year. With not enough girls for a JV team,Coach S.& Coach E.are going to have plenty of girls to fill each position.I agree with the catching situation,McKean did an excellent job. Steph Burke& Keisha Holtsberry both got quite a few innings in behind the plate last year on JV.They both have their strengths and weaknesses, but both are very fine catchers.Keisha has caught for her sister since they both began playing and has also caught for Jess in the summer league.Steph has caught for Ky in the past and is catching Jess in practice this year. I am really looking forward to watching all the girls play it should be a very exciting season!!!!

Yes Ottoville does have a team this year. And yet again barely only wth 13 players wit two already who can't play because of injury. It doesn't help the track team takes all the good players away from the softball program when the softball program only has 13 girls while the track has about mid 20's

Correction: The track team is not taking away good players from the softball team, softball players are choosing to run track over softball because the softball team is such a joke in Ottoville.
