The bad....DA had a great game...will it continue or did this cement him as the number one QB who is constistantly inconsistant, leaving Quinn on the bench and future trade bait?
The ugly...Even in victory this team is still so undisciplined with all the false starts and proceedure penalties, it is unbelievable.
I hope this is the start to a new season but as a Browns fan, pessimistic feelings temper the joy of a great win! That is the life of a Browns fan.....Romeo is in the locker room saying Pizza for everybody!!!!!!!

I had to buy donuts for the office this morning because of a comment I made yesterday. (Shame on me for doubting the Brown's)
We even saw the UFO defense a couple times....I loved it!!!

I think the reason is because real Browns fans know what this victory means.
1. A win stems the tide of angry marchers on the castle calling for Fat Albert's head. (still must and will happen) the win only slowed the inevitable.
2. A win means a full season of Derek Anderson, a QB with a career 50% comp pct and a 50% QB rating. A QB who gives us this type of game just when we don't need it. Now it will be even longer until we see if Brady Quinn can be as mediocre as DA.
3. A win means 2-3 and now in the mix for the playoffs in a year when no one seems to be dominant, at least according to all the talking heads who were saying the Browns are pathetic last week.
The curse of Paul Brown continues as the football gods only allow us to win when it will only cause us further failure in the future. Romeo must go! DA must go and any coach who thinks 8 false starts in a game by suppossed pro players is acceptable must go. Leading the league in penalities, unforced errors so to speak does not bode well for teams long term. Last nites win was great and I sure was happy but in the long run it set us back yet again. It is tough to be a Browns fan, oh well spring is right around the corner and I think this might be the Reds year!!!!!!!!

lol...you're right Gummy....fell asleep right before the 94 yd int return......but I want to know...WHO KIDNAPPED THE BROWNS...and who was that playing in their place? Gumshoe I agree...I stated right before the game that this would be a good time to insert Brady and WHAM....DA goes wild....Can the Browns keep up this style of play? Will the O coordinator be able to put in place a game plan like he did for this game with only 1 week between games?..can our DB's play at that level again? Being a pessmistic Browns fan I don't think we will be able to sustain this momentum for 3 games in a row...hell I'll take 2 in row though.....and last DON"T TRADE Quinn!!!!

well I guess I am happy for FA for his award. He will probably put it next to all his participation medals from youth soccer and t-ball. Look his competition for the week were the rams and texans coaches who both got their first wins. This is still a team that despite the big win commits way too many stupid penalties and one time in five games played with any fire. This is a direct reflection of the head man. All the awards in the world cannot cannot overcome 8 false starts in a professional football game. He got the award based more on how bad they have been more than how good they were. I have one more day of happiness before reality sets in and we get waxed by the Redskins who lost to the Rams in this WWE/NFL world.

Yesterday, the Buckeyes lose another big game...something that is all too common lately...and I really wasn't all that confident that the Browns could win in Jacksonville. However the Cleveland Browns played a football game with 0 (that's zero) turnovers and 0(that's zero again) penalties....and it wasn't over till the very last play of the game but the BROWN'S WIN!!!!!...I knew the Bengals were losing big...that always makes me smile a little too, but this year it's to be expected. The final good news of the evening is that the Steeler's lost!!!! One day-Browns win, Bengals and Steelers lose....I'm not sure, but I think that might upset a certain RC moderator that must have been celebrating her birthday too hard to be online right now....

Well, he played good yesterday....(I think) so who knows what is up with DA. Maybe you guys should just put Braylon and Kellon on the field for sure.

Wouldn't it be nice to see just a wee bit of that emotion and fire coming from our Fat Albert, who by the way was quick to take credit for the success of a game changing 4th and 1 pass play that netted 50 something yards.
I was watching Singletary's rant and I wanted to get up and hit someone in the mouth like he said....it was awesome. He may not win another game this season while the Browns may win a few more than I imagined but I would take Singletary all day long over the guy we have.

I was going to start a thread on this 'incident' myself, but just can't seem get anything more than "work" done when I get here.....Anyway, I was very impressed.....I wish ALL coaches would have this type of reaction & I don't think we'd have the lunacy going on that we see all the time. (on & off the field) Hopefully many will follow the example.....Also, hopefully this will go towards Mike's cementing the job, too.....
