If Riverdale's defense holds up and their offense finishes. I my prediction is Riverdale 2 to 1 over Bluffton.

But if none of that happens than I predict bluffton 3 to 1 over Riverdale.

5 to 7! Thats a little too high scoring I think Dissent considering R-dale's defense/offense?. Not many goals yet. Going to be a good game. pokey.gif

No, his injury in Saturday's game was really bad whiplash in his neck (it was originally thought to be a broken vertebrae), and he won't be back until this Saturday at the earliest. So Bluffton will be playing with their backup again.

good game as well for both teams...sucks having to put a freshman goalie in who has never played a minute of varsity ball...and yes riverdale got unlucky with many attempts at finishing tonight... crybaby.gif

What happened to River's GK? I know he got hurt, but any details?

FYI-Polls came out, Bluffton is 10th in state.

I'd kill to see what the game could've been if the number 1 (the starting goalie, not backup) was in. If Riverdale crashes after every goal that's scored on them, it's not going to be good.

It was our own player that hit Dylan, not a Bluffton player. No excuses, we have to deal with games with the personel we have at our disposal. Well said Bill about our self-destruction. It was clear that after goal #1, which we completely went to sleep on a throw-in, that we were shell-shocked & the onslaught proceeded. We knew that BHS scores in bunches. We knew it happens after halftime. I take the blame for not having my team properly prepared. We can't complain about missed chances (again, my fault )or what might have been. Only one thing matters and that's the final result.

Normally I don't like to comment about our own games but I don't want anyone to think that we have any delusions about last night or that we're one those "but we did this & that & should've won if only..." teams. Again, it's my job to get the boys prepared & I let them down in this situation.

Having said all of that, please no more posts from RHS folks. This is the official stance from our camp. We weren't up to the task last night. We have good players, and many showed that, but on the whole, we lost to a good team. Nothing else needs said. Teams lose. Good teams lose. We move forward.
