Well since you said on that day, it kinda stops the point of saying anything. Yesterday, when USA won 1-0 against Japan, I read that Japan was the better team. They had more scoring opportunities and so on. But USA gets a goal.

Just by reading the 1-0 to USA, who would you think be the greater team?

us was able to capatalize japan obviously wasn't and us defense could've been the reason. i'd say that makes them better

Riverdale is returning a lot of players for the the new season so i think they will be very strong. And I do have to agree that Ottawa Hills will be a huge threat to any team they play. They are also returning many players. I saw Ada play in a bunch of scrimmages up in bowling green and they didnt look so hot. of course they have clum but he needs another player to back him up more cause he's being left solo up there to do all the work. I also saw Van Buren play and they do look a little stronger than last year but still not good enough to be much of a threat to riverdale. District final game is in my opinion going to be between riverdale and ottawa hills. but bluffton and CR arent too far behind. I guess we'll soon see because season openers are approaching real soon.

Top will be
1. Ottawa Hills 14-1-1
2. Kalida 13-2-1
3. Ft. Jennings 11-3-2
4. Riverdale 13-2-1 (easier schedule)
5. Ottoville 11-4-1
6. Cory Rawson 10-4-2
7. Miller City 10-4-2
8. Bluffton 9-3-4
9. Ada 7-7-2
10. Van Buren 7-8-1

PCL is strong and Riverdale and Cory looked very good at the BG tournaments. The top 7 all have excellent defenses.

Having seen #2, 4 and 5 on your list riverman I think it may be a good list. However, OH could get a run for their money by Kalida....They are big, strong and fast. I think the only thing that might hold Kalida back record wise is their schedule is a bit stronger than OH.

-Riverdale has a good team, just not alot of depth.

-Ottoville is big and fast, but didn't seem too strong in the back...

You also may want to replace 9 or 10 with Lima Temple Christian....they were pretty young last year.

Riverdales schedule doesnt look any easier than its been in the past...But overall rankings look ok. Riverdale and Fort jennings could be a toss up for the # 4 and 5 spot.

Riverdale's Schedule:
@ LIberty Benton
@Kenton
Cory Rawson
ANTHONY WAYNE (anyone else?)
@Mohawk (league game, nothing to be done)
Ada
Continental
@Bluffton
Calvert (league game again)
Fort Jennings
New Knoxville
@ Old Fort (another unavoidable league game)
@Miller City
@ Upper Sandusky (league)
Van Buren
Pandora

Outside of the league they play one of NWO's best DI programs, 4 PCL teams, Liberty Benton, DII inner county rival Kenton, New Knoxville (well coached and no pushover) & Bluffton. Granted, there are some less than mouthwatering games there but can hardly say that's a cupcake fixture list. Discuss.

i agree.. very nice schedule for riverdale..

but like EVERY team in NWO they have cake-walk games

but OBVIOUSLY they've gone out of there way to pick up better teams from around the area. (anthony wayne)

QUOTE(Billwouldrather @ Aug 8 2008, 01:39 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Just cause a team beats a team doesn't make them better.

Kalida ties Van Buren, Van Buren loses to MC 9-1.

I always come back to that example. Because you'd think since VB tied Kalida, that they would be pretty decent.

By the way, not to draw attention to this game, but Van Buren last year did not play a great game against Kalida, Kalida just simply couldnt put the ball in the back of the net to save their life....they had Plenty of chance so dont say it was amazing play by VB cuz it wasnt...neither team played well and it was the first game of the season for Kalida and the just were not mentally prepared....and ya as the rest of VB game scores show, this game was just a fluke.
Go Falcons!

From what the population of VB on here said, they made it seem like they played their hearts out.

Thank you for clarifying that.

Bluffton has already beaten Ottoville in a scrimmage 3-2....they were up 3-0 at the end of the first half, and were looking pretty good. I wouldn't overlook them

1. Ottawa Hills
2. Bluffton
3. Ottoville
4. Kalida
5. Temple Christian
6. Riverdale
7. Liberty Benton
8. Miller City
9. Cory Rawson
10. New Knoxville

Eventhough Ottoville lost to Bluffton in the scrimmage 3-2, i still believe they are up there i mean especially for the fact that they did have 4-5 of their starters not playing that game, plus not to mention that is just a scrimmage so #2 and #3 are basically about even with each other and could even possibly compete with Ottawa Hills for #1...As for Kalida ya they have 14 returning lettermen, but lost to Ottoville twice last year and Ottoville has 15 lettermen returning especially all defense are back..once again should be a great battle between Ottoville and Kalida for that top PCL spot...

Temple seemed to have a young team last year so i put them right behind Kalida..Riverdale seemed a team that has potential but lost to Ottoville in a scrimmage 4-1 which Ottoville outshot by 15+ shots

7-10 is a toss up...Liberty Benton lost a lot of seniors and yet doesnt have a real strong schedule (which makes me wonder from what i heard that they dropped Ottoville???) and picked up a team from Div 1 who went 0-17 last year?? if im wrong someone from LB or whoever knows, correct me if im wrong cuz this is what im hearing, i always looked forward to that LB and Ottoville game seemed somewhat competitive...Miller City seems to have potential to beat anyone above, i look for them to have a good season with some talent coming back but not finishing above Ottoville or Kalida..

I seen some had Ft Jennings up there??? im not so sold on them this year, they have lost a lot of talent in the last couple years and their JV program hasnt been the strongest lately, they might just end up below .500 winning percentage this year but ya never know with them...Continental i would say could be up there with 9 or 10th spot as well

SHOULD BE A FUN AND EXCITING SEASON FOR NW OHIO SOCCER..GOOD LUCK TO ALL NW SCHOOLS

Venom- The athletic director at LB did drop Ottoville and it sounds like Coach Aukerman didnt know that he was going to do it.. they picked up Temple Christian and Tiffin Columbian and Mohawk and new knoxville

LB plays most of the teams in everyones predicted top 10 + OG

its a decent schedule

Well im sure the coach from LB had some say in whether or not to drop a certain school i mean in some way or form he has to me notified of that...but just not exactly sure why Liberty Benton all of a sudden drop Ottoville both teams were competitive last year from what i seen and its not like anything happened between the schools..oh well Temple should be a good test for them but as for New Knoxville and Mohawk ehhhh?
