Who's some of the good shot put and discus throwers in the NWC.....I know that Hyland from LCC is looking mighty fine in both events...I also know place and Zeigler from Bluffton are looking good in shot....and Laing from AE is looking good in discus...who else?

Sean Osting beat them all in the Discus. I'm proud of that guy.

osting qualified for state last season. i'm pretty sure he's going to be taking the winter to work on his technique and come out stronger than last year. That boy has got some determination in him.

Don't forget Obringer from Spencerville. For never throwing shot before last year, as a sophmore, he did pretty good. He should be right up there with the best of them. He took 5th at Tiffin regionals, missed going to state by a half a foot. He's also a darn good baseball player, state placer for wrestling. Kudos out to the boy. He can compete in any sport that he tries to do. He's just down right talented. Heard that him and Osting from DJ are cousins, would be great to see them both at state together on the podium. There moms are sisters, that has to be a tough one. Them boys have competed in a lot of events. Sean also has an older brother that had to wrestle against Oby. That had to be hard cause from what I heard there wasn't much Osting could do to avoid the big bear hug. But Kudos to the sisters cause it's gotta be tough being them. Great talent and sportsmanship from both Osting and Obringer and there moms. Goodluck to the both of you the rest of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FYI---Sean isnt going to be wrestling this year, he's hitting the gym and doing some indoor track- focusing on his shot and disc. He has a lot of potential and will hopefully make it back to state for disc. It would be great to see Osting and Oby standing on the podium together. Good luck Ty on the mat this wrestling season and in track. Good Luck- Sean stay focused and you can reach your goals.

Nothing good is gonna go well for Zeigler if he doesn't get in the weight room, or at least do something athletic before the season starts! He'll be lucky to make it to state again.

Osting returning after advancing to State in the discus, gives Jefferson some points.

Sean has stayed in the weight room through the winter and is throwing the shot much better already JimBucks. He's a great kid who works hard. His discus should be better this year as well, so what you said is on the money. The goal is to make it to state in both and score.

Just wanted to update the latest for Sean. He threw 50' 9 1/2 at the last Findlay indoor meet. He is continuing to work and have good results. I know it was a hard decision to give up wrestling this winter to focus in the weight room, and with his conditioning, but it was a good move on his part. He hasnt even done any technique work this winter, so with that in the coming months, he should be looking at a state birth in both the shot and discus.

Id kind of like to hear about other kids who may be doing well already too. I love track and field and enjoy when our area kids do well. Im partial...I know...but this corner of the state is always very good for many events.

obringer from spencerville can suprise a lot of people this year....made it to regionals last year throwing around 50 feet ...he needs to work on technique and explosivness and he can bring in the points at most meets in the shot put and as far as discus he has the potential just needs the technique....stewart (on team last year for half the season) can throw good also....around 45 feet and good at discus threw around 120 to 130 and improving...krouskup can get the disus out there also

I also hear Tyler Keysor is going to be doing shot and disc which basically shoots their baseball winning at all hopes in the foot but he should be successful in that..... and bigguy come on man haha Obringer did have his days in baseball but he wasn't that good. Good luck to him in track though he better make it to state in that and get us there in football too.... that would be nuts for him to go to state in three sports....that three sport man him haha

I believe shot is mostly about form. and Zeigler is a pretty big kid.
