Does anyone have any information or now how current college athletes around the area are doing?

Aaron Thompson, Elida High School Class of 2006, was just named to the NCAA DIII Men's Basketball Final Four All-Tournament team. Aaron is a two year starter for the Washington University - St. Louis Bears. Aaron and the Bears captured the NCAA DIII Men's Basketball National Championship over defending champion Amherst College 90-68. Aaron had 34 points and 8 assists over the weekend to help the Bear's to their first ever National Championship in men's hoops. Way to go Aaron!

Mark Miller, a 2005 graduate of Crestview high school, is tearin up the record books at Wooster. Last year he set the single season saves record with 6. This year he has already surpassed that and he is only a sophomore in his eligibility. So far this year, last I had heard he had 8 or 9 more saves, which brings him close to the career saves record.

Joe Horn (Waynesfield-Goshen, 2006) was named D-2 All-American in indoor track as part of Ashland University's 4x400 relay team. Joe also qualified for the 400m, but failed to place. At the moment, he also runs on Ashland's 4x100 relay team that has provisionally qualified to the D-2 Outdoor championships, and is among the top 8 fastest teams in the country.

Shane Shockey (Bluffton, 2006) vaulted 16' 7" last week at the University of Cincinnati to qualify for the NCAA D-I regional track and field championships.

some bluffton grads that are currently or were recently in the college sports world:
-shane shockey must be doing great from what silverwings is saying
-michael ream went to bg and started last year as a redshirt sophomore and must be doing well, and is a 2 year letter winner and will be a redshirt junior this next year, but i've heard that michael had gotten into trouble? hopefully thats not true
-justin shannon is at findlay and im guessing he's doin real well up there
-josh falk also went to findlay and im assuming that he's doing pretty good
-jarod davies had a short stint when he was up at toledo, jarod was the 5th string qb (something like that) and the next season he figured he wasn't going to play so he hung it up, but during the summer times and what not all the qb's in front of him had gotten hurt, so jarod would've had a shot to start for toledo, but he had already hung it up, that really sucks for jd
-brandon herr went to bluffton where his brother will follow next year, he started as a db as a freshmen, will be a junior next year, cant wait to see what the herr boys can do next year at bu with the new coaching staff

From Defiance-

Tyler Burgoon is leading the team in saves at Michigan with 5. He's 1-0 with a 4.67 ERA with 23 strikeouts in 27 innings.

Dee Dee Hillman was named 3rd team all Big Ten as a freshman at Ohio State. She hit .288 and started every game but 2 for the Buckeyes.

Cam Stykemain is batting .254 with 1 HR and 4 RBIs in 28 games(16 starts) for Niagara University.

Ihatesoccer...by the way love the name... Zac Dysert will most likely be redshirted this year. The starting QB for Miami though did suffer a concussion against Michigan so you never know, but think this is the route Miami's coach is going.
Dailyn Cambell is 3rd team QB for Youngstown State and was on the sidelines against OSU
Radcliffe from Fairview, was drafted in baseball's major league draft and I was told he decided to go that route, but I am not 100% sure.

Radcliff ended up going to CMU and is on the roster backing up Dan LeFevour. However, the plan is to redshirt him, as well.

The Rockies (the team that drafted him, I believe) wasn't going to send him a contract offer until after he had to report to camp at CMU. Thus he reported to camp since it was the sure thing he had available to him. Or something along those lines.

Ross Gerdeman of Ft. Jennings is a member of the BGSU baseball team. Heard he has been throwing 88mph this fall, not sure if they will redshirt him or what??

I'm going up to Michigan State to watch them play Notre Dame tomorrow. Jahmir Williams is #51 and is #3 on the depth chart at Middle LB. He's a true freshman. Jahmir played for Lima Sr. until his Senior year when he went to Trotwood Madison. He's listed at 6 ft 3 in. 240 lbs.

Due to an unfortunate situation, looks like Briggs Orsbon will be starting at Ball State soon. Not the circumstances under which you want to become the starter, but best of luck to Briggs as he appears to be ready to crack the starting lineup for the Ball State Cardinals.
