Adam Wagner from Defiance, Preston Zachrich from Ayersville, Josh Vandemark from Hicksville, and Zac Botjer from Patrick Henry are some strong names that come to my mind. thumbup1.gif

Have you seen them pitch in person?

I have seen Zachrich and Van de Mark both pitch and they are pretty decent. Zachrich is better overall with control and pitches but Van de Mark is just a big body that can throw it hard. He also isn't a bad hitter either. Nik Louiselle has a pretty decent chance to open some eyes after he pitched pretty good this summer for the Ottawa Legion in relief.

My son has faced all of them except Wagner. Zachrich is lefty with a strong curve ball. Vandemark is 6'5" and oeverpowering, Botjer just throws heat and Wagner is a high 80's speed with good control. Held always has good pitchers at Defiance. thumbup1.gif

Actually, Radcliffe is a better catcher than pitcher. Has a rocket to second. thumbup1.gif

Kottenbrock from LCC was almost untouchable last year. Lefty with good speed on his fast ball, and good off speed stuff.

Kopilchak (Shawnee), Sterling (Bath), Painter (Parkway) all belong on this list.

Two other thoughts on this subject. First, Labatts ... no one from Continental can seriously be even close to being listed with the names on this thread. Go out and dominate the very young PCL - then get back to us. Also, if you want to see some great matchups - Bath (Sterling), LCC (Kottenbrock), and Parkway (Painter) are all headed to the same sectional this year - along with Coldwater, St. Henry and Marion Local. Should be some great matchups there.

I heard Ross Gerdeman for FJ is supposed to be a pretty good pitcher. Went to play in Florida in the winter and played pretty good.

We faced him last night. He has good speed
and a quick delivery. He is sneeky quick.
Not many hits with him on the mound.

Just wondering how many innings did he pitch, and how did you guys do off him? I see you won the game.

Game was 1-0 Bath thru 5 when both pitchers (Sterling & Kottenbrock) were lifted. Both were sharp given how early in the season, the cold, and throwing across a very stiff first-to-third wind. Both teams struggled once the aces were pulled.

If I'm not mistaken he threw around 65 or so.

I saw where Ada'a Josh Duffy had a 2 hitter last night. One hit in the 5th was a bloop over 2nd and the other was an infield dribbler. Should have had a shutout.
