so what are the chances that michigan st. beats memphis this week? i think neitzel be unstopable and will score between 25 and 30 in the msu upset kinda like mcnimara for syracuse in the big east tourny a couple of years ago. they just need to cut down the turnovers and be within around 5 with 1:30 left because everyone knows memphis can't hit freethrows if their careers depended on it.

Actually, kind of hope it does happen...Might help my bracket out JUST a bit.

Unfortunately, it seems that the same two people keep beating me in "likely" scenarios. HOWEVER, it looks like I'll finish in the top half of all those picking, so the rest of you can just bite me!

For me to win:
MUST have North Carolina win it all. The only other scenario that could get me the win is Xavier winning it all, North Carolina in the Championship Game, Memphis/MIchigan State into the Final Four, and Wisconsin into the Final Four (which is what I have, anyway).
If Wisconsin does NOT make the Final Four: If Wisc were to lose tonight, then I would need Davidson to beat Kansas (or just have Kansas lose tonight) and UCLA to make it to the Final Four, but not get out of the Round of 4, losing to either Michigan State or Texas. NC still wins the NC.
There is NO scenario where UCLA making it to the Championship Game would result in me winning. (As stated earlier, I could have sworn I made quite a few changes, but I must have forgotten the "save" button. That bracket on SportingNews.com is still looking pretty sweet, though!!! Which...after just checking...is currently ranked #40 in the world. We'll see how long that lasts with Pitt out already, though.).
Quite a few other scenarios, but too many to go through.

Some kid on the ESPN bracket challenge got 16 of 16 Sweet 16 teams, and is 7 of 8 on the Elite 8 with Davidson going to the Final Four. I think he missed Tennessee.

I don't think any one of them has a cakewalk, but it could happen.

Basically, as they stated on ESPN, if you're one of those people who picks strictly along seeding lines, you're probably ok. But then again, you probably do it because you don't know anything about college basketball and just decided that you'd do that. And in the end, nobody cares if you win because its just a matter of picking straight seeds and that's a boring tournament.

That's true...No one who is still in decent standing could....You couldn't just pick the highest seeds & move on....'member all the upsets???
I am certainly not what you would call a true college bball fan, by any stretch of the imagination....In fact, maybe only watch 6-10 reg. season games total, then really get into it when it's "March Madness" time, but I do hear enough on the sports reports & reading around to make logical/half informed decisions in picking, and if that means picking a higher seed, (especially each higher round) so be it.....But, I assure you, no one could be in good standing now w/out picking underdogs along the way.
I guess I just love being competitive & that's the joy in it for me......Winning or doing well sure does make it that much more enjoyable though!!!!

Best wishes everyone as we near the end.
