i think they got screwed out of a tourny spot with 20 wins or so a couple times when amiker was there. also they were in a transition year. i think they lost 4 starters, an injury to the only returning starter coleman, and a new coach. the system he's bringing from west virginia takes awhile to put in and with a young team it didn't really help much. they started to come along ok towards the end of the season (didn't they beat ohio state?). i would look for them to move up in the big ten next year with manny harris returning and everyone knowing the offense.

OSU's big men are shooting around a combined 100% tonight: Koufos 70% on some tough shots like fade aways and hook shots and Hunter 30% on missed layups and putbacks, with a few made dunks.

OSU v. Dayton tomorrow night. OSU really hasn't faced a challenge just yet in the NIT. Dayton has played some games with much greater ease than the final score would indicate...been some challenge, but not much. Generally has been quickly dispatched.

I think UD will beat OSU by about 10-15 points. Syracuse should win it all as long as they play like they want to be in the NIT. Tonight is a huge game because UMASS beat the 'Cuse when they were settling in their freshman earlier this season.

did anyone see rome is burning today? the fill in person kinda ripped into osu for having to play at st. john. i don't think she watched the game at all because they said that they usually play a game or two there every year and it sounded like the place was rockin. the announcers seemed to enjoy it also, it's good to see a team playing in an older arena like that. the reason they had to move it is because bruce springsteen had a concer at the schott.

Well Ohio State looked very good aganist UNC Asheville. Even with 7'7 Kenny George for most the game. Butler had 21 points and 5 3-pointers to become 1st on most 3's in a year. Butler holds so many records at OSU, but the most impresive has to be wins, 100 wins in his career.
I think they have a good chance to win the NIT, just wondering what you all think

It looks like Syracuse is ready to play tonight! They're up 43-24 over UMASS at the half.

Final Score

UMass - 81
Syracuse - 77

Syracuse up 22 in the 2nd half, I do believe and ends up dropping it. Big win for the A-10. Making their conference look a whole lot better with Dayton in the quarterfinals of the NIT, UMass now in the Semi's, and of course Xavier in the Sweet 16.

It's at the Schott. It will be sweet. I got tickets and I'm pumped.

About the 'Cuse, what a disappointing year. They lost to the same team on their home court two times in a season for the first time since 1923. I had high hopes for the great freshman class.
