Just curious on what you are trying to say? Way to dig on a situation you know nothing of.

Taz, I think prehaps he was taking a dig at the OHSAA seeing a video of something like that mentioned above and them actually doing something about correcting it. I do not beleive it had anything to do with the wrestler, Jock has to much respect for atheltics in this area to take a dig at them. (OMG-am I defending the Jock here??? shrug2.gif )

She did, OSU4me, stood up for 'Strap. Hold everything, this is a first. Could she be falling into his control, like so many others have in the past? shrug2.gif

Just been a very trying thing to be honest. It also looks like it won't go away.
To be honest there have been many letters written to OHSAA and it doesn't matter to them to be honest. It is what it is and so be it.
OSU4me...did you work the concessions at the All Star event?
Lima Jock.....You always seem to have credibility.....or do you.... beer.gif bow2.gif

Yes I did. We were expecting a bigger crowd but I can understand the weather kept them away. I thought the event was great tho!!

Excusemmmmaaaawwwwwwwwwwww?

LJ - I won't be posting like I used to. It seems unless you are part of the agreement of this forum it doesn;t matter your side.
I am for the kids and have always been and won't change that. There are always 2 sides to every story and some seem to forget that.

Far fromrose colored. It was and is a major problem and very unfortunate. It does nothing but mess up a young mans dreams. There is one thing on a football field and different opinions and the other is on mat when it isobvious on what happens.

In a football game things can be lost and true happenings can't lways be seen. On a Wrestling mat it is 2 individuals. Football not so obvious, Wrestling is very obvious. So your comment is undeniably wrong. When your Coaching less than 4 feet a way and spectating around the same, I am pretty sure of what is obvious and not.
It also should mean something when many Coaches went out of their way that witnssed the event and gave their side for this young man and the Number 1 Coach in the Nation has already written a letter for him and is in constant communication with this young man.
We disagreed on much during football and even when I was in the right you never could respect my thoughts and opinions. As I said then and I say now, you don't like my son and it shows. You are not bias with him. I can live with that.
Thank you.

Taz, You know opinions are like $$$$ everybdy has one. So let your skin get thicker since some would rather stir the pot. Its freestyle time and he can make his mark there to prove what he can do. Like we always say leave it all on the mat and once your match is over learn from your experience and let it go. For some reason some have a dislike for your boy and cannot separate what happens on the mat is left on the mat or what happen years ago.

Time to move on, give it he-double-hockey sticks cody! wallbash.gif

i have to take issue here guys. it's not like DC and i are drinking buddies or anything, but i do know the guy. i've know him to poke, try and start stuff, and even take a position that he doesn't actually believe just to get an argument going, but i've NEVER known him to go after or try and slam a kid. now, he does seem to love poking you taz, i'll give you that. maybe it's because you ALWAYS react to it, and in your posts, your boy seems to never do anything wrong - he just gets provoked again and again. he's not the only one to comment on it. i sure as heck can't speak to all the instances, because i didn't see them. i did see two of them last year though, and you and i are just going to have to agree to disagree, which is perfectly fine. sometimes we agree about stuff (especially when we're having one of those old farts moments whistling.gif ) and sometimes we don't...no biggie

with DC, though, if you don't want him to poke, don't react. wittkamp's obviously your son, and i get it...i've got a son too. but again, i think (and, for the sake of honesty, i COULD be wrong, but i just don't think i am) he's after you, taz. accusing someone of being out to slander a kid's pretty serious...tread lightly with it.

as for this particular incident, i've got no clue...i wasn't there. i've heard 2 and half different versions of what happened by people who were there, but i can't comment one way or the other. i wish him the best of luck in the future though.

Po - I am moving on. People's opinions are just that, Opinions. Truth is truth and knowing the difference with explaining verse never in the wrong is different. I know of one incident from last year he totally screwed up in. I gave explanation not defending. I always preach take it out on them in a legal manner on the field or mat, there is no excuse.
Now, this incident is behind Cody.

DC - If you only knew his actions as he helps kids and helps Coaching them. If you only knew of his actions as he represents his self, school and family proudly at National events with OHIO Teams. His actions speak loudly when other kids come to him and ask for advice and ask him to teach them a move and expalin it. Many are way to quick to judge when they not know. He gets the support of one of the top Coaches in the Country and many of the top Teams in the State that know of him and his true character.
So, I say to you...DC - Actions. With said incident this young man shook the hand of the opposing wrestler and Coach. He did not throw head gear or punch anything. He used no profanity and was approached by one of the refs of the match to let him know of his sportsmanship. He stayed and supported his teammates through the weekend. I say to you ACTIONS.
