Do you really have the ages of everyone? Our average doesn't seem right if I'm the oldest.

yeah, I can't take a joke, I'm too serious. I didn't think anyone gave their age, the MC average is way too high!

I think it's safe to say posters from all the Putnam County schools have an average age of about 15, lol.

It's ok for youngsters to post on here, but it's important that the 'old guys' steer them in the right direction. Notice that none of my fellow Ada Bulldog posters, in spite of thier age, make the outrageous comments that some others make!

I was setting up bored & reading tonight & think I found a gem, especially coming up on the RocketCorners first anniversary!
Interesting reading for many of you I'm sure! Wish I woulda been here the whole time!

I completely forgot about this thread being here..........and I was going to give a State of the Union speech this weekend to let everyone know

A: Where we've been

C: Where we're going in the future


so this looks like a grand time to Just Do It! as far as making our members aware of wha'ts been goin' on .......

Where we've been:

we started this site with the help of BobDoo at Stinkys and my sister who agreed to do the techie stuff...

it was meant as an alternative to that "other site".......

Where we're at:

the RC now has over 1600 members and continues to gain members slowly.....

in December we've had over 5000 different users access our site, so the potential is there to continue growing membership..

we will surpass the 20 millionth "hit" on our website yet this month...........20 MILLION!

the RC has picked up 3 new corporate sponsors in the past month........"Splash & Sparkle Car Wash in Kalida, Ohio.......... Beavercreek Stars Youth Basketball.........and coming next month the Girls Basketball Association (GBA)..........I want to personally thank each one of them for their committment to the RocketCorner's success..........

our partnership with Double MM Productions is going great guns............we did last year's state wrestling tourney and followed that up a few weeks later with the boys state basketball tournament.........just last month we did all 6 state football finals at Canton and Massillon.........and coming up this March we will return to Columbus to do the state wrestling tournament for the second year, along with the boys state bball tournament............

We've also received approval to do the Girls Basketball Tournament in the past month........exciting times for sure .........and we're still in the exploratory phase of doing the boys state baseball tournament..........the wrestling, girls bball, and the baseball are all something that no one else has ever tried...........

Where we're going?

this is probably the toughest thing.........we're going forward, that I know for sure .......my thoughts for this site include being able to do live video of the games we do in the future.........this will take a real belief in both Double MM and the RC on our testament to the future of internet broadcasting........the world is changing by the minute and we've got to keep up or we'll be kicked unceremoniously to the curb if we don't..........

Slow growth is inevitable and we'll continue to watch the RC mature as an Ohio High School Sports site..........I also have vowed to keep this site a FREE site so that everyone who wants to express an opinion has an outlet............

I'd like to see more of a statewide presence for the RC also in our future..........right now we're entrenched in NW Ohio, with the SW area also contributing quite a bit..........we need to make more of an inroads into the NE, SE and Central portions of our state so that more knowledge is available.........any suggestions would be appreciated............

far, far, far down the line............an Indiana Corner, Michigan 'Corner and perhaps a Ky. Corner would be nice to see.......thanks for reading...............zooooooom

I think it would be neat as well to have a Indian Michigan Kentucky corner so we can keep up to date on other state sports.... as long as it would stay seperate I think it would be a great investment....
