I was going to say something about his spelling too, but you beat me to it! Including and having do not have e's.....you must not have attended VB elementary. Just kidding.

Just saw Coach Swaisgood's wife, mom and dad and he is improving. He's off life support (the vent). They said to let everyone know that he's on the mend.

It took me a minute when you said "Coach Swaisgood" to realize you were talking about Jeff. I was confuzzed when you said you saw his dad and mom... for obvious reasons!

Tom Swais is off life support, eating normal food and talking, and was moved out of the ICU and onto the 6th floor yesterday. Looks like he's gonna make it! Yesterday at practice, Jeff told us that he was back to his normal self yesterday, asking what would happen at practice that day...

And no, Otsego will be no walk over. I guess they have a spectacular foreign exchange student that has 13 goals this season. Considering that Otsego plays many DI and DII schools, a DIII might be a relief for them. I don't know if we'll give them that opportunity or not... hope not.

Recent news about...? What I said about Tom is the recent news. Nothing to report, he's doing great (well, as great as you can be in a hospital...).

went and visited Tom Swaisgood around noon. He is doing very well... the people taking care of him are astounded by the progress that he is making...he has a long road to go but he went for a walk down the hall this morning. COntinued prayers to VB community and the Swaisgood family. Best of luck against Otsego tonight VB.

I've seen VB play and i think they have an excellent chance of being district champs. Otsego-piece of cake, Riverdale-close first time but can't lose twice. (most likely) cory rawson-should be close but VB comes on top by one or two....

Good luck afro.gif Nights and to all others

VB loses in a shootout to Otsego, after leading the game by one until 30 sec. left in the game... hard fought, we left everything on the field. Sorry to the seniors, its a shame you had to go like this...

I party blame my self for the goal they put on us. My calfs crmaped up with about a 1 min to go and i could overcome it. The guy who scored came across my side of the filed(iw as playing left mid) and i wasent back to stop the shot. So i partly blame myself... good job knights better luck next year!

No any one person can blame themselves in that loss...IT was very well played form both sides... it just was in Otsego's cards last night. It stinks to lose like that but somebody had to, and unfortunatley, it was VB. It was possibly the best game that I have seen the Black Knights play in since 2003. Its tough to swallow something like that, but dont get down on yourselves, like you said, you left it out on the field and that is the best way to do it, you gave it your all but came up short. Best of luck to VB next season, and best of luck seniors as you go out to college and life.

I went and saw Tom Swaisgood again today. He is doing very well. He is now sitting up and walking around even more, he even ate solid food and did not do so in bed. Doctors think that he could be home by the weekend.

You can't blame yourself for any of that! I blame myself because I wasn't there to stop the shot. Andrew blamed himself for letting his mark get the ball. John and Alan blamed themselves because the missed the PKs. Matt May blamed himself for every goal that was in his net. It should have never come down to that last minute, then the PK shootout. But it did. Nothing we can do. I know that the seniors will remember that night for the rest of their lives, and what they could have done differently, but you can't change it now. We played our hearts out, we just got a bit unlucky...

Like I said, you cant blame any one person or even the entire team. You guys played tough all night and you kept on playing for it until the final whistle blew. You left it all out on the field, nobody can ask anymore of anyone who was in that game last night. Both teams could have won that game, it just happened to be Otsego's night last night....

Besides, Justin, the fact that you sucked it up and played through cramping calf muscles says something about your attitude. I expect to see it next year, or you'll be sitting the sidelines with an injury again! (maybe...)

Benchwarmer, you are very critical of every post. Spelling, cramping, and attitudes. Let up just a bit. Nobody is perfect or maybe you think you are above everyone? Nothing like a little arrogance going a long way.

Sorry, VBS1, but I'm picky. Most of the time I'm a perfectionist, even though I don't go to the traditional lengths people think are typical of perfectionists. That's the way I am and that's the way it's going to stay. Sorry about you're luck! Just get used to it. Besides, in your quote, those were words of encouragement, not derogatory comments. Like I said, get used to it. I'm not going away for at least another 3 years!
And I don't think I'm better than everyone else. In fact, I think very highly of many others and not as much of myself. I see every mistake I make and try to improve but usually can't. I'm very critical of myself, maybe too much so. Is it your place to critique me so?
