Well its the honest truth isnt it? I hate it when players try to talk up their teams after they lose like that and try to blame it on everyone else. Okay sure the refs may have missed three or four calls for you but that doesnt honestly mean that you would have scored on those possesions anyway... MC was by far the better team on this night... I just hope that everyone tried their best and gave it 110% with no injuries cause you never know when the last time you'll touch the ball or walk onto a field may be...

Were you even at the game to make that profound observation? Also Knight you tend run your mouth about a team that you played with last year that wasn't all that great. As for them being a better team.... I don't think so. As for them blaming the other teammates, isn't that the captains job to get everyone motivated and keep them that way. I did't even hear one word from them at that game. And if not to motivate at least not out there bringing them down. They are the leaders out on the field.
At no time did I hear captain complain to the ref about any calls. The team is good, and I do mean team, so in my view their is no Superstar on any team.

It amazes me that a team that talked themselves up so much (mainly underclassmen that don't play) can come up with all these excuses why a their great team can lose 9-1. It's the refs fault, it's the coaches fault for not subbing enough or putting so and so in, it's the goalies fault because if he would have stopped the goals from going in we would have won, it's the captain's fault, it's Man U Fan's or knightmare's or fault cause they talk us down, and so on and so on.

This time Miller City had this game wrapped up. That is the truth and some of you need to face reality when what you've been saying comes back and bites you in the censored.gif

I've seen you guys play some very aggressive ball and some very passive ball. It is difficult to know which VB team is going to show up to play.
Life is a gift...that is why it's called 'the present'

I agree with myturn- you cannot get over confident like a bunch of people have been doing and then if you do lose a game, you cannot point fingers and say you were better... you may have an off game or whatever, but we need to start comin to play and becoming more consistent...lets go guys

Coach21, I was a starting forward on OSU's club team... and all of you guys out there who feel it necessary to take shots at me...thats fine, go ahead becasue you know what... you're allowed too, and true the team that I wason as a senior was not very good, but I graduated with a winning record and a state semifinal under my belt so... I can take anything that you throw at me, I 've dealt with alot worse.

I quite agree. There is NO EXCUSE losing a game 9-1. Obviously, the team didn't play their best, but that's the game. Still, at our worst, we shouldn't lose a game like that. In response to the comment in parentheses, I totally disagree. There is one person that talks about this team that I know of the doesn't play hardly at all. I have never had the pleasure of starting, but I play in almost every game. As for everyone else, all but 1 person is either a starter or a quick sub. So the "excuses" are being made by the players, not the benchwarmers.

LB up next and....this game should be very interesting. LB is playing very inspired soccer right now...and VB is plying tough....the question is, which Vb team will step on the field? the one nil fighters from Riverdale or.... the 9-1 pipsqueaks from Miller City?

Fueled by the death of fellow classmate Chaz Johnson and the thrill of near victory against the Riverdale Powerhouse, the one-nil fighters are the ones to step on the field come Wednesday. The seniors are not going to go out like the seniors did last year... no offense Chris. We'll fight until we die or conquer in tournaments.

If all players were eligible...I would give you a better chance but I think the only hope for tourney win is in round 1 against Otsego.

WE can take otsego no problem and it does really hurt us with out haveing jessie or tyler and both are keeprs are gone. So secound round vs Riverdale is looking quite dark for us but we got to stick it out and play our best. Rivdale did lose to PG now will that help us or hurt us who knows. One thing i am not looking forward too is if we beat otsego everyone (includeing injured players and no varsity half jv players will letter) i find this to be a bit unfair considering that some players didnt help all year. But i guess there still on the team to so idk how do other VB ppl feel about this?

I think the lettering rule is a bogus rule; you should have to earn your letter. The only time you should just be given a letter is senior year if you never before lettered, just for recognition of your time on the field. I don't like it, but if it's going to happen if we go farther in tournaments than before, I rather give everyone a letter to show we are better than last year than not give them letters and not go past the first round.

VBSoccer30: LEARN HOW TO TYPE/SPELL. It shouldn't be a struggle to read what you're trying to say.
