I don't think he will be a starter again anythime soon. He could very well just be a back up or third string QB the rest of his career.

Chicago's offense just doesn't appear ready to strike, and the defense just looks depleted. I think Chicago might be home this playoff season.

Come on. I know Rex is bad ... really bad. But what can you expect the guy to do when his running back inhales and his offensive line gives him maybe two seconds of time to make a read and get rid of the ball? Certainly Rex wasn't the QB of the future, but neither is Greise.

Oh gosh ... I get all tingly thinking about McNabb in a Bears uni. That would be the best QB in Chicago since ... well ... when?!

Since some good quarterback came visiting with his team to play the Bears in Chicago?

Wow, glad to see benching Grossman finally solved what ails the Bears. I think we're in trouble. And when I say we, I mean the fans specifically, cause we've got a lo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ong season in store.

You think that you're bad Im in it deep for my post season picks that I made back in August

AFC NORTH- Bengals
AFC SOUTH- Colts
AFC EAST- Pats
AFC WEST- Chargers

NFC NORTH- Bears
NFC SOUTH- Saints
NFC EAST- Eagles
NFC WEST- 49ers

at this point in the season, only the Colts and Pats look on target.

Hmm, so maybe Rex wasn't all of the problem... The D giving up 34 in the fourth might have helped.

Yeah, the defense that was on the field for most of the previous three quarters. Blame does not lie with the defense here. This offense is horrible ... the only things that hid its ineptitude last year was 1. Thomas Jones' steady play and 2. turnovers created by the defense accounted for half of their points!

Griese has still thrown more TD's in his one game than Grossman did in three.

Any chance that Orton will play today? Or how about Urlacher at QB?

ESPN was talking like the Bears were going to give Griese 3 weeks before turning to Orten, by then the season could be over...

I'm sorry ... I'm a die-hard Bears fan, but I think the writing is on the wall. The season is already over. The offense is horrible in almost every way imaginable. And the defense and special teams can't keep bailing them out of games. crybaby.gif

Really, the difference between Orton, Greise and Grossman is ... what? None of those QBs give the Bears any chance of winning. The best they do is "not lose the game." That's not good enough when the team is trying to repeat an NFC Championship. At this point, they might as well had left Grossman in and hoped for the best. Greise and Orton are not the answers. bag.gif
