A young lady from the Lima area has been in DC teaching and is going to re-locate to the Lima area. She has experience in the history field and would like to coach. If anyone knows of any openings please let me know, so I can give her the info. Thanks.

Just wondering if there is any talk about any possible openings in the girls PCL? I heard about P G being open and other rumors but nothing concrete.

My suggestion to start with is basically very easy to find coaching openings.
  • Look for any school that didn’t win 70% of their games.
  • Look for school board members names and box scores, if they don’t match and have a kid on the team you will probably find an opening.
  • Website would be my 3rd choice!

It will be VERY interesting to see how OG handles this hire. Will they cater to the wants of the current group of parents and hire a coach who will dig the program into a hole it may never get out of.....OR do what's best for the program and hire someone with NO CONNECTION to these folks....and will be willing to stick around long enough to grow the program despite this group of parents????

Apparently, CS went to the school board before the season and told them he should have the OG varsity coaching job because he had a better record (as the jr high coach) than the varsity coach had...Thanks to this parents group you have made an embarassment of our great sports program!
CS stands for Chicken stuff, tacky. Way to go OG, you forced out one of the best girl coaches in PC. Good luck, you will need it.

She more that likely doesn't want to get sucked into OG's "black hole" of a coaching situation then.

The BOE and AD need to carefully plan how they will proceed with this situation.

Og has their first applicant......in an email sent to the athletic director a current teacher in the system has expressed an interest......The school district alsohas some openings due to retirement....They might be able to squirrel away Irwin or Vermillion from the bvc If the price is right.........With a teaching position open It certainly open things up a bit......

Really? A current teacher? If you're going to consider qualified applicants, that would cut it to exactly TWO people. I can't imagine either of them wanting it....

one has already had the job.....

and the other is a pretty succesful boys coach

Again....can't imagine either of these two even considering it....though I will say that neither of them would give a rat's you know what about what the parents of the current players have to say.....so maybe they should hire one of them :)
