In world news...

Ireland was denied their request to be the 33rd team at the world cup this summer..

Thierry Henry is facing a suspension for the start of the 2010 World Cup due to his intentional handball in the second leg World Cup play-off tie in Paris last month between France and Ireland. The Fifa's disciplinary committee is to investigate and make their ruling.

Maradona has been suspened once again by FIFA for two months and is not allowed to go to the drawing to represent his country..

Lionel Messi has described becoming the first Argentinian to win the prestigious Ballon d'Or as a "big honour". Messi polled 473 votes, more than double the number Real Madrid's Ronaldo totalled (233) and 27 more than the impressive number the Portugal international managed in winning last year's award.

US gets probably the best possible draw they could have hoped for....

England
United States
Algeria
Slovenia

Tough first game with England, but the potential for two very good results in the other two matchups.

Any kind of result against England and US could be looking at possibly winning their group!

A tremendous draw for the US! I am hoping that the Crew do their viewing parties at the stadium that they have had in the past. Its a great atmosphere to watch games and they may be able to fill the stadium for the 2:30 match against the "Motherland"

Its a favorable draw for the US but it won't be no walk in the park...

Algeria had to beat Egypt (2009 Africa Champions) in the playoff to Qualify..

Slovenia came back and beat Russia in the playoff to Qualify..

The only teams to beat England since Capello took over have been Brazil and Spain.. If the US can play like them then they have a chance..

If the US can manage 2nd in their group.. All roads lead to Germany...

Hopefully LD's choke in the MLS CUP and 2006 world cup play doesn't follow him to Africa..

Landon vs Becks... bahahaha

If you know me you know who my team is.. and its not going to be a walk in the park for us either..

I don't know what France team will show up.. the team that struggles to qualify or the team that lives up to their super stars like Benzema, Henry, Anelka, Ribery, Gallas, Nasri, Ben Alfa..

If we get second out of our group all roads lead to a rematch of 2006 wc against Argentina.. which we lost in a shoot out..

Thank the lord we are not in Brazil or Spains group.. good luck to those teams..

I'm pumped!!!!

Si Se Puede!!!

I love the WC balls. But, I think we will overlook Algeria and Slovenia.

I agree, this was the best draw for the US, I just hope they have a strong sowing, no team should we look over. Sleeper pick on this could be Algeria...

yeah .. this is the real shyt everyone on the planet is waiting .. the World Cup .. we Brazil are going to win it once again of course but I aspect the other teams to put on a good fight as well .. all I want is a group with either France or Germany and we will have no problem butchering them ..
Also a duel between us and Cameroon would be interesting ..oh well .. lets wait and see what the future holds .. hope we can bring the World Cup back where it belongs ..BRAZIL

I agree with bill. We will overlook algeria and slovenia. My prediction is a good ole showing against england like we did against italy in 2006. And then we will sh*# the bed against the other two.

June 12th can't come any sooner.

Eff the queen.
