TJ was the man this weekend. In the big picture what will the legend of TJ Metzger be? 3 year starter, 2 state tourney runs, very, very, close to 1,000 point club. Does anyone know what he finished with career- wise? We did some bar room math this weekend and came up with these approximate numbers entering Saturday's final , maybe a fuzz more or less but these are close:

6 a game his soph year, 24 games = 144 points

13 a game his jr year, 26 games = 338 points

17 a game his sr year, 28 games = 476 points

=================
approx.. 958 points, 42 needed in finals to get around 1k, he got 36.

Other records held by TJ:
  • OG single season record holder for 3’s- beating out Dave Meyer’s record of 84, that has stood since
    1988

    Only player in OG history, along with his senior his teammates, to make 2
    trips to the state tournament, and win a championship.

    9 3's in 2 different games his senior season.

    Two 36 point games his senior year, unsurpassed by anyone.

    36 points in a state final game. Which are the most points by an OG player in a tourney game.
