Kenton needs this one to stay in the hunt for the WBL and playoff points. The titans look to stay undefeated to set up a game the following week with Wapak which will go a long way in deciding the WBL champs. But first things first for OG, Kenton is a formidable opponent and these two teams have squared off in some great games over the past 12 years, with the series in that time period being knotted at 6-6.

Thoughts and predictions.

OG has a far better defensive secondary than they had last season. Their D LINE is also good. Kyle Niese and others will put pressure on the QB and the secondary will do their job. Kenton will get some points no doubt but the OG defense will keep them in the game.
OG's passing game is good and getting better every week and the running game is good enough not to be ignored.

50% chance of rain also which could play a factor.

In the end I predict around a 35-20 game in favor of OG

I would give the edge to OG, who seems to be rolling, but I would be shocked if you got 35 on that Kenton D. They are very, very good. By far the strength of their team. I would go more like OG 21-13

I agree that the Kenton defense is very good
OG will have to play lights out and mistake free to end with over 3 scores

Keep something else in mind.
I believe the Titan offense has put up 198 points in 5 games. Of those 5 games...

3 of them the starting O has not seen the field in the 4th quarter and in at least 1 more they saw very little of the field.
2 of those games the 3rd quarter was a running clock for the starting O so it went fast.

That is why I do believe they will put up more points than people think. I agree this will be the toughest D they have faced most likely but they have a lot of weapons on offense.

Should be a classic.....

Common opponents:
OG 45-0 over Shawnee
Kenton49-7 over Shawnee

OG 46-14 over Van Wert
Kenton 46-7 over Van Wert

No indication there....

OG opponents 7-18
Kenton opponents 15-10

Not sure if that means anything....

OG has given up 45 points
Kenton has given up 60 points

Both very good D's..........

tough choice on paper.......

if rain is predicted, it will rain as a tradition in this game....not sure if that favors either team........

I would take OG over Kenton just because Coach Shriner is more experienced...

Excited to sit in the booth and call this one because both teams have been slinging the ball all around the field this season.

Kenton might be a victim of circumstance just because the two teams they lost to are 10-0 and ranked high this season......and they darn near beat Wapak in week 2 to boot.

Any of you guys going to be at this one? I'm curious if the rain will stay away or not

I will be there and of course the rain won't stay away. It wouldn't be an OG Kenton game if it were dry, it's never dry :)

As winstoncup said above, If past history is any indicator for OG- Kenton games and Ottawa Glandorf homecomings, it will rain.

Word is the Kenton offense is getting better. The defense hasn't seen drastic improvement.

If it's a sloppy track I think if favors OG. Better running game with the running backs Niese and McDermott. The QB Unterbrink is elusive but not a physical runner. That's fine in the rain and maybe even better. Osting and Kuhlman should have a big day as they are good at sitting down in the zone. I can't see Kenton running Man against OGs recievers in slop.

OGs linebackers are athletic and can cover the mid field in the rain. The slower routes from the Kenton recievers will help the blitzing backers get to the QB. Particularly,Godsil who they like to blitz.

Reciviers will have an advantage in the mud. OGs Kahle will be on the look out for a floating ball that slips out of Kenton's QBs hands.

OG wins a sloppy one.

And don't forget with Niese at nose on defense..hes going to give the QB hell IMO. Granted Kenton has some beef up front but Kyle is strong and quick. From what I have seen, the Kenton QB is far less accurate when he has to scramble.

As of now rain all day and still at 60% come kickoff. Should a muddy one

Skies are clearing. Titans have played the Cats well in their non-Massillon/Canton years the last few years. We'll need to keep the pressure on Kenton's young sophomore QB to force him in to some bad decisions, like Brad Ausmus taking Sanchez out of the Tigers game. Yes, I need a change of scenery tonight Titans, so don't let me down !

Tonight was not the titans night. Too many turnovers and the defense tired in the 2nd half having to defend a short field. OG must regroup and get ready for another tough test next week at Wapak. Homecoming games have not been kind to OG in the recent or not so recent past.

OG has a nice team, they will be ok as they continue on, you don't master that style of offense in 6 weeks.

I'm sure OG has not seen a defense close to Kenton's caliber yet this year, but get ready your going to see another great defense next week!!

Come on Titans, pull out the victory next week, the Wildcats will be rooting for ya

Kudos to Kenton for taking it to OG and not making big mistakes. OG running game limited tonight by a tough front for kenton
