I have said all season he wants to get that NCAA championship...So that part of me says he comes back...but I think this game tonight leaves a sour taste in his mouth because of how poorly the rest of his team played in supporting his effort and he leaves now...Ohio State played like crap outside of Oden's inside presence and 38 minutes on the court...

wonb tells the truth....he played great only to be let down by his teamates, although he might get his head on straight and remember these are his buddies and conley is a great high school buddy, i really dont know what to think, he is a to himself kind of guy not really outgoing so therefore i cant make a prediction, i dont think he is like everyone else...he is getting some bad remarks that he needs to tune his game from sports anylysts, i think he could go either way but right now he stays and will have an experienced team...i will predict the championship game for 08 right now if oden comes back.....UNC vs OSU wink.gif

I don't really see Conley leaving just yet...He's not a guaranteed 1st rd pick just yet, in my mind. One helluva player, but lacks some height. Cook...yeah...shouldn't leave, but sounds like he plans on it.

I personally think he's back next year...he's the type of player whos draft value will only drop if he's injured...hes got a 10 million dollar insurance policy if he's hurt and can no longer play. He's a smart kid who is taking some real difficult college courses right now and I don't think hes doing all that extra work ifs hes planning on leaving. I think he's back one more year then hes gone

He said himself in some interview I saw a few days ago he didn't want to go to the NBA till he felt he could dominate and he didn't think he was there yet. Most say he's gone but just based on that I say he stays.

Conley was just stated that he is "100 percent sure" that he is back next year. Oden could go either way- there's no telling with him. Cook will probably go IMHO. he just looks like he is not motivated and everything. If Oden and Conley stay, we will be back next year without a doubt. Matta has another great recruiting class coming in with studs such as Diebler, Koufos, Dallas Lauderdale... We will have much more depth next year. It is sad to see Ron Lewis and Harris go. They had great careers and I loved watching them.

Has anyone seen the class of 2008 Matta has already lined up? He's got the #1 ranked center in the nation (BJ Mullens), #2 ranked point guard (Anthony Crater), #9 ranked small forward (William Buford) and #22 ranked shooting guard (Walter Offutt). I mean, those are just the ones I can find reading the Ohio State basketball team page on Yahoo. That's quite a haul, once again. If Oden and Conley stay another year, Crater and Mullens will be freshmen there to move right in. Matta doing an incredible job recruiting...currently, at least.

Ohio State has turned into the place to play college sports...the facilities are tremendous....the exposure a player gets is tremendous... sports figures are treated like gods in columbus.... why wouldn't a kid want to play there

after last nights performance it is obvisous he can dominate....that was awsome! I look for him to stay another year....being this close and losing to a great team, returning all 5 starters from the championship year the before, has to leave him wanting it that much more...but then again he can look at it as, well i performed at the top of my game at the top level in college basketball, me team didnt help me, the hell with this im going to make money.....

Oden's the #1 pick.
Conley will be the 1st pg taken, somewhere in the 10-15 range.
DaeQuan will be 15-20 range.

Koufos will be top 10 after next yr.

Conley has already said he's 100% sure he's coming back next year.

I hope like hell Oden stays. Put him down low with Koufos and we have one hell of a force under the bucket as far as shooting and rebounding are concerned.
I wanted to have a career in sports when I was young, but I had to give it up. I'm only six feet tall, so I couldn't play basketball. I'm only 190 pounds, so I couldn't play football. And I have 20-20 vision, so I couldn't be a referee. ~Jay Leno

DaeQuan at the 15-20 range? No way, NBA scouts are telling him to stay. Some have him late first round to second round and some don't have him being drafted. Conley is staying. I think Oden is gone. He will get payed to take a beating instead of doing it for free much like Shaq.

I`m afraid this could indeed be a package deal. I know Oden`s leaving so.......... Man, I hope not, we need Conley next year.
