Yeah, that's exactly what I was screaming. Oden got held like that more than just on his last play!
"Well, I may be a scholar, but I most certainly am not a gentleman."

He even got called for a foul similar to that picture.

As far as the Oden foul at the end of regulation, sure it should have been a little more than just a personal. But, hell, there should have been a personal foul in the scrum underneath the basket when he was with the rebound and got molested. And, hell, it's gonna get frustrating when you are getting called for all sorts of picky fouls when you have players trying to give you a prostate exam and not getting called for a foul.
And he's "legally an adult" at the age of 18, but so is pretty much every other college athlete and saying "oh, his acting this way as an adult is horrid" is pretty close-minded. I mean, athletes are always doing things that "don't teach kids valuable lessons for life." Next time I see Chad Henne complain to a ref about not getting a pass interference call or see a Michigan lineman take out someone at the knees or a Michigan DB hit someone late out of bounds, I guess we should hang the thug for not teaching the children watching valuable life lessons. Put him in jail because he clearly will no longer be a valuable member of society, right? I mean PUH-LEEZ!!!
GWU Won the A-10 Tourney Title and played a Sweet 16 Team from the SEC.....them losing to a 16 seed is a laugher, thanks I appreciate it.....
You see, Michigan doesn't play dirty, so those things don't happen.....(except for Crable on Smith, I agree, but I'm convinced that was unintentional).....arguing with officials is ok, as long as it is reasonable.....but shovings guys 5 feet out of bounds because you might lose is pathetic sportsmanship.....did you see any of the other teams do that when they "saw defeat in their eyes"?.....and if he's going to complain about getting hacked, then toughen up soldier.....this isn't the HS days where every team you play is a cake-walk.....nobody gives a crap what you've done, who you are, where you're from.....get used to it.....

Have you heard of a flop? I'm pretty convinced Cage took a pretty good dive when Oden pushed him.

Which is exactly the point I was making to him...I mean, saying something stupid like "oh, children are watching and thinking that is ok" just gave me a crick in the neck from shaking my head so much. So, yeah, if Oden does it and someone wants to gripe, well then just remember that players for Michigan do some of the same things in some other sports that aren't exactly showing things to children at home that is good for them. If a parent is worried about their child seeing something that "wouldn't be a great life lesson", then blindfold them, plug their ears, and please place them in an isolated area. Its everywhere...its life...its how the world works.

Trust me, the way I watched them play (on the March Madness on Demand thing), they wouldn't have beaten many of the 16 seeds. And they won the A-10 title because they didn't have to play a team that was remotely decent, since the conference's only truly respectable team got upset by Rhode Island when their shooters went out.
And we've already addressed Michigan...Man, I was close to there this weekend, and I am so happy that my nose was plugged. I could almost smell the place. ICK!

You're not going to score very many points when you shoot 27% from the field.....and isn't that the reason that they play these conference tourneys???.....who ever said that the favorites had to Win every game?.....give GWU some credit for Winning the games that mattered to put themselves in the NCAA Tourney.....
I'll tell you something that is a laugher.....Central Connecticut State received and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tourney.....Michigan (NIT 2nd Round Loser and Coachless Team) beat CCSU 60-40 in the season opener!.....so Michigan isn't any better than the 16 seeds?.....give me a break on that!.....yes, there will always be controversy, but let's put the best 65 teams out there, right?.....
I already live too close to columbus.....you can smell that disgraceful city from planets away.....

I think I have said before that Michigan is one of the best 65 teams in the country...I don't ever recall saying that they weren't. I was saying that GW would have gotten beat in the NCAA's by a #16 seed with the way they played. So, yes, shoot 27% and you lose to a #16. Be Michigan in the Big Ten and, while still better than many teams that make the tournament (I would say Michigan would have been between the 40th and 50th best team), get stuck in the NIT.
And I think I caught something from all that Michigan air...The state must have its own special breed of some weird airborne diarrhea. I mean, the state is a

I don't think a 16 seed would play the defense and offense for that matter, like Vandy, against GW.....but think what you want.....GW will be back and all of the 16s will be sitting at home next year.....
I appreciate the mutual thoughts on Michigan.....
and Michigan is a pretty damn smart School, unlike the folks in columbus.....
