Does it really matter what seed you get, you still have to win six games to win it all.

I like:

Florida out of the Midwest region
Kansas out of the West region
OSU out of the south
And Texas out of the East

Watching Durant and Oden on the same floor in the final four with everything on the line

Then watching Kansas and their frontline vs. Noah and Holford

That final four is real close to being a wet dream for me!!!
Go Bucks!!

OSU's road to the Sweet Sixteen looks relatively paved with gold, playing their first round game against that 16 seed, then they get the only 8-9 game winner that is guaranteed not to come from a power conference. I really think BYU wasn't meant to be in that position, but just was put there so that they could play their games on the days not conflicting with the religion.

If you want to go the with the "It is paved" thought... then there is road damage after the sweet 16

Obviously meant to get a little bit tougher in the tournament once you get to the Sweet 16. However, OSU has already beaten Tennessee once this year, and Virginia is reeling (having lost to the bottom 3 of the ACC in their last five games). I don't exactly think Long Beach State deserved a decent #12 seed, but that's where they are at, and Albany seems a little lofty at the #13 seed. I am thinking it will be Tennessee v. Ohio State in the Sweet 16, especially with Lofton back at full strength for the Volunteers.

But, hey, that's why they play the game.

I am glad Florida got the overall #1. They were trying the play the "we don't get any respect" card since people were dogging on them for a couple weeks.

Florida is the most feared team in my opinion in this tournament.

I'm thinking along the same lines as VikingFan. If Florida would have not gotten the top #1 seed, they would have whined about it and used it as motivation during the tournament. We saw what happened in football when they were told they wouldn't have a chance in the National Title game. This way, they have the huge target on them and it might make it a little tougher on them to repeat.

They do have all starters back from last year and I believe most teams would want to have to play Florida the least during the tournament.

Not many experts seem to think the Buckeyes will do very well which kind of gives OSU something to prove. Having a dominating big man with one of the top point guards in the nation and a versatile, athletic supporting cast, sets OSU up for a deep tounament run. Conley is a very key player who can be a difference maker in tight games. The issue on the ranking of the top seeds is being blown way out of proportion. Let Florida get all the attention and the pressure of being the most highly regarded team at this time. Then we'll see who snips nets on April 2nd.

As a pure Ohio State fan, I don't think Ohio State deserved to be #1 overall. Sure they're winning games, but nothing ever dominating. Seems like the other team is always in the game till the final few minutes. And maybe with them also not being the overall #1 will take a little pressure off of them. And I think they are in the best bracket because of it.

I am an OSU fan, but you can bet it will be a challenge for the Big Ten in this years tourney. Big Ten play this year consisted of low scoring games filled with turnovers and defense

As much as I want to see the Big Ten win in the NCAA, these teams will have a tough time score 65+ points like most teams do in the country blink.gif

the whole bracket in general was messed up to me. some of these mid major teams are good yeah...but i still think seeded too high.

as far as osu....they wont be challenged unil the sweet 16, and thats only if they play tennessee. if they dont play TN, then i think they get to atlanta easy.

the final four...its gonna be Wisconsin vs. Pitt and Texas vs. OSU. what happens next...thats for the teams to decide (and i dont want to give away my bracket to everyone)

OSU might have deserved the overall number 1 but in my opinion the South is and easier road to the final four than the midwest anyway. I got Florida playing UCLA on one side of the bracket and OSU playing Texas on the other i think. I got OSU beating UCLA in the championship then.

Florida 86
osu 60

UNC 98
osu 89

That, my friends, is why osu is not the #1 overall seed.....and I think Georgetown should be the 1 seed over them, but oh well.....you cannot argue with facts.....and I also do not think osu will make it past the sweet 16.....look out for those Volunteers from Tennessee!!!..... cool.gif

Woo, one of Oden's first games back. Is he going to be 100%? Against UNC, without Oden with the Heels on fire, we lose by 10.

How does the #1 team in the nation that just beat the #3 team in the nation get not the first #1 spot, not the second #1 spot, but the third #1 spot in the tournament. They still got a #1 seed, but as a buckeye fan, I feel cheated. That is a slap in the face and the craziest thing I have ever heard. How did this happen? What is the reasoning?

EZ
Bad Conference... No good wins except against an overrated Wisconsin team. The Big ten in basketball is the same as it was in football -- Two average teams and the rest is terrible. Sometimes us buckeye fans need to speak from our head instead of our hearts
