Your vision of Heaven......

Just wondering what everyone's vision of Heaven is, since it seems that it's one our (of most of us') 'goals in life' to attain...... just curious as to what everyone expects when/if we get there.... ????

Being in the presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ and experiencing the Beatific Vision. Doesn't get much better than that.

I mean specifically & physically...... and, i'm not aware of Beatific Vision, so i'll have to look it up, i guess.

That's about as specific as I can get at the moment. The Beatific Vision is seeing God face to face, which we can only do when He welcomes us into Heaven.

It's beautiful. All of your passed-on friends and family are there. ALL of them! It's beautiful. So beautiful.

Not sure what it will look like, but that's a first hand account from my uncle last fall as he was passing away after a lengthy battle with leukemia.

Never thought of it since it doesn't exist.

I suppose my life is my vision of heaven......or would that be hell in the US?

I very firmly beleive there is heaven, but as for what it's like.....well, it's going to be interesting

okay.... here is my take on the situation after giving it some thought based on many's description of their expectations of what Heaven will be like when/if we get there of it being "undescribably beautiful", "laden in gold", "us playing gold harps, praising & worshiping Him, singing hymns", "floating on clouds", "peaceful", "meeting up with all of our passed loved ones" & even, meeting up with those that we don't neccessarilly 'love' now because of their 'choices, religious beliefs, racism, etc', but, we will be at peace with & love them, then.... I'm not so certain this all sounds so great....

We meet Saint Peter at the Pearly Gates; get issued our Wings, Harp & Halo so that we may spend the rest of eternity, daily, monotonously, floating along, lazily on a fluffy cloud singing & playing Angelic Hymns & melodies??? And even put up with ppl we never liked anyway?

Are we really going to enjoy this?
I think after a couple days I'll be ready to sell my soul to the Devil for some peace & quiet!!!!

Besides, after you count-out the myriad of of ppl who WON'T be in Heaven 'cause of their wordly beliefs & actions, I don't think we'll ever see all those we hope to see, anyway....Gays, Pro-choicer's, Jews, Muslims, Agnostics, Athiests, Satanists, adulteres, those who don't honor their parents, wives who don't obey their husbands, those that covet, wrath, or take pride in being prideful, anyone against prayer in schools, slothenly ... etc, etc, etc... Let's not forget, NO DEMOCRATS!!! So, after you discount all of those, in the end, not many will be there, except a SMALL, boring group of straight, white, Republican men! <---and even less of those as things 'come to light'!!)

This just goes to show that there will be much better company in Hell.
