I should have the names of the 4 applicants Later tonight. they are scheduled for interviews and I will be camping out at miller city the next 2 nights to run the license plate numbers. they expect to name a coach by the 11th but we hope to be able to name the coach by the tenth. with all the miller city fans on this site and their hopes of keeping their selection secret I Expect this information to be harder than normal. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of interest At mac's. The young professionals at the buckeye club Seem to have a little more interest at this time.

Wed. Is the last day for entries into the rc contest. We have some great names Thrown about But I still believe that the winner has not been picked! Good luck................

After spending way too much time in New Cleveland and the City tonight, I'm no closer than I was before journeying out........there were exactly 3 quasi farmers at Mac's
and a couple of young yuppie accountant-types at the Buckeye Club......not exactly the brain trust that I was hoping to find wacko.gif
'
It seems that MC has 2 AD's according to their website and the Lima News article........a woman is the head of the boy's programs and a gentleman is the head of the women's
sports.........kinda peculiar, but whatever works......

Now I know MC is not gonna let a woman make this decision alone........I can't imagine how the interviewing process for the first candidate went tonight (although I've heard from some peeps that they aren't
holding them at the school)........they are doing the NSA and CIA proud with the way they are conducting the process........after the RC reported the hiring of their former coach at OG a few days
before the official announcement they are bound and determined that we won't be reporting their choice before the BOE meeting next Monday at 7:30pm..........they will most likely
inform the local media earlier in the day so that they can send someone to cover this news properly whistling.gif

I have had to take some extreme measures instead..........I am pressuring some of my own Mafia types to extract some names........I've thrown out a net from Delphos to the west to Findlay in the east.....from Kenton to the south to Napoleon up north and all 'burgs in between to see if there has been any interest shown by any JV or freshmen coaches because I just don't envision a "splashy" kind
of name being interested...........an assistant at a smaller local school or even a freshmen' or heck even a freshmen assistant coach from a WBL team wouldn't surprise me much........RM

The AD's will conduct the interviews and have some input, but the prinipal and superintendent will have the last word.

I am wondering if any of Leispic's JV and helpers ( didn't want to put a$$istant...beause the ### things bugs me). The most qualified would be JV coach Chris Kuhlman. He's a good potential head coach and any PCL school would be good to have him. Other Vikings could be Tyler Closson and Ronnie Maynard. Keith Untendorf is also a solid candidate, but he works in Van Wert and recently moved out of the PC.

I am pretty sure Chris Kuhlman is not interested in it right now, 1st baby on the way, a job that has some long hours, not the ideal situation to be taking a head coach position right now, however, I wouldn't rule it out for the future. He has the potential like you stated.

Keith Utendorf like you said has no interest as far as I know because of no teaching position being available. Look for something from him in the future rather, he does want to be a head coach no doubt about that.

If it comes down to Miller City hiring someone like Tyler Closson or Ronnie Maynard then they exhausted every other single option. No offense to those guys, someday they could be a good head coach. But not right now, young, raw, lots to learn still (That could be said though for sure about all these names). Put them on the sidelines next to the rest of the PCL coaches and they would have their share of lumps I think.

This one is going to take some more digging Rocketman.

After making my post last night I awoke this morning to find double digit text messages on my phone cool.gif
We seem to be getting the word out and the information pipeline is slowly starting to open up.....

The process has taken a few turns here and there but the first round will be over today........I think 2
names will be submitted to WK and KJ for the Confirmation Hearings......it really is quite ironic
that someone who was unceremoniously shown the door a few years ago as the head coach will be
involved in picking the next head coach......(has anyone ever heard of this happening before?).....like I
said in an earlier thread, kinda peculiar......

lots of little bits of data are being pieced together by the RC computers wink.gif ........it seems like at least one
of the candidates will not have to change his "school colors" much (OK, maybe just a shade here or there)
and the other will have a lot of backing from the largest most name in the Putnam Co. phonebook......

Flounder and I are headed to Cincinnati this morning to take in a USJN girls basketball extravagenza the next
few days but I will keep close tabs from afar on this still-developing story.........RM

No on Pat Siefker......but if it is someone with the most names in the Putnam County phonebook that leaves either a Kuhlman or a Schroeder. Most likely JV coach Brian Kuhlman. Unless Chuck Schroeder has decided to get back into coaching and is leaving Paulding to take his talents down St. Rt. 613 to MC.

My people tell me 8-10 applicants with only 4-5 interviews. Bryan Kuhlman, Braidic??, an Eichholt/Eckle??, and Marc Smith was in the mix initially but then withdrew. I'm also being told MC has some pretty solid talent coming up, so whoever gets the job will not be taken over a bare cupboard

While I think that braidic would be the safest choice I don't see him getting the job.

What a tangled web we weave can partially explain the lack of information coming from miller city. Most of my sources have lockjaw. I think that they've been told that if any information gets out they will be denied access to their season tickets. pretty drastic measures but I can see why it was done.

I'm sure that Mcguy has a lot to do with everyone's lips being sealed...........but I still think we will know before the official hiring. Hot weather...bailing straw...and cold beers tend to bring out the best in those City folk.
