Wapak has a great core coming back in terms of fielders and hitters...they have to replace pitching.
If I had to guess Coach Brandt has them ready...probably running 82 poles a day whistling.gif

Your entire softball coaching staff is very knowledgable. If your girls commit themselves to travel ball, you will have continued success

I think the league will be an open race. I look for my team, Celina to be solid after a good summer season. Plus since basketball is over early this year more time to prepare. Go Dogs!!!!

Lookes pretty solid tonight.Saw a lot of good things happend tonight. pitched a diff pitcher every inning and moved people around. They only scored off of 2 out of the 8 pitchers

Elida had a great pitching coach last year that was run off by Mark Miller and is now the head varsity coach at Spencerville.Ironically he was with Delphos Jefferson two years ago.

So Mark Miller hired Randy Apple as the head coach? He was "run-off" by not getting the job. Blame whatever/whoever you want, he thought his one year at Elida qualified him more than Apple's 17 years as the varsity assistant at Elida. The administration at Elida obviously felt different. If he was so desperate for a head coaching job, why did he leave Delphos as soon as the good class graduated? Just curious........

No he didnt hire Randy Apple and I never said he wanted the varsity job.The blame for him leaving again falls directly on the shoulders of Mark Miller. odd enough Miller has a son sniffing around for a posistion though. I can assure the admin at Elida [or the good ole boy network] is at it again. Change is coming and will start with the board that is not representing the good voters of Elida.
He became involved with his boys and the JV last year at Elida by the way.

So you honestly don't think him leaving was not a direct result of him not getting the varsity job at Elida? I'm certainly not going to say that him and Mark Miller did not have their differences, from what I hear that is most definitely the case. But......if he had been offered the varsity job he would still be at Elida regardless if Mark Miller was still running the Diamond Dawgs or not. Therefore, my conclusion is he left because he wanted to be a varsity baseball coach (still don't understand why he left Delphos) not because he didn't like Mark Miller.

He left in a contract dispute not over the varsity job.He was very happy being the pitching coach and Jv coach.Mark Miller has a son that i bet will soon be out there in sum capacity coaching varsity baseball.[Its just the way the good ole boys roll]
futhermore I bet you would never guess who was overseeing practice the day after Apple resigned! As I have stated change is coming and it will start with the board . Just happens to be 2 openings this year.

Defiance goes for undefeated WBL season, 19th win of the season, and 50th consecutive WBL win at Lima Bath (5-2 WBL) this afternoon. Quite a run for the Bulldogs over the years.
