Is it just me or is Ottoville's pitch TINY? They have a GREAT facility, but the field is so freaking narrow. Hard to play pretty soccer when there's simply no space to do so. End rant.
Ottoville overmatched Riverdale in every way. Ottoville didn't play pretty soccer, but they knew what to do when the ball gets into the offensive third and are pretty athletic. A nice goal on a thru pass in the first half and a nice header in the second off a throw in (see above paragraph, ugh). The other three goals I saw were rebounds, far post trash collection, but well finished none the less.
The Riverdale coach blew up late in the 2nd half after a hard foul on one of his players didn't draw a booking or worse. Shocked he wasn't sent off. I was halfway to the parking lot and I heard him ranting. I don't know if he was blowing up at the foul or the fact that his side was on the wrong end of a 6-0 scoreline.
Why would Ottoville put that much money into a soccer facility, yet not make it regulation size. They had plently of room to put the track off to one side. You thought they would have learned something from their new gym design.

Yup, Grant and I think it's a knee injury.

That's too bad. He is a fascinating player to watch! I hope it heals fast!

As for the Ottoville field, it had always been "the parking lot". Did it get worse? It had a wonderful downhill slant and was narrow as can be. The refs there always seemed to be turdish, but I never had a problem with the Ville.

"A little" small is being overly generous. There's a big difference between a 120x70 pitch and a 110x57 pitch.
Facility wise, it's top rate, but because of the tiny field it still stands behind OG, Kalida, Findlay, Wapak, Shawnee, ect.

Ottoville's facility is top-notch, with the exception of field dimensions, but I have to differ dkusma's order of field listings... as a Findlay grad I don't think anything comes close to the Graham. It was the first & will always be the best in my mind.

The list was in no particular order. Findlay's park and pitch are without a doubt the best facilities in the area.

I do hope you are correct on this because the Dawgs hung tough against Napoleon. I actually thought that overall they were the better team for a good portion of the game, especially in the final 8 - 9 minutes. The first part of the 2nd half however, Napoleon dominated by kicking beyond the Defiance midfield and putting pressure on the inexperienced defenders. Neither team could find a way to crack the code to find the back of the net. It was indeed a very good game.
Based on the scores I'm seeing from Continental AND from Bryan they both seem to be having some issues early on. Knowing both coaches, I have no doubt they will be working to right their respective ships before too many games are completed.

Went to watch the National Soccer Festival in Ft. Wayne this weekend. The two fields were 120x75.
Kalida's field is 110x70. Not "relatively small"...unless you compare to Findlay's beautiful pitch.

There is no such thing as a "punch thrown from Ada in self-defense". If a punch is thrown, it is never in self-defense.

As if that never happened on the pitch with another team before... wrong? yes. something Ada does all the time? no.

Check this out, im the ada kid that threw the punch. The kid raised his hand like he was going to hit me. So since I thought he was gonna hit me, I acted in self defense. Know your facts before you publish things sir
