yes...lots of concern...things are WAAAAAY different from our generation to our kids' compared to all the previous ones b4, IMO....technology & w/e else has so catapulted in such a short time compared to our other recent generations...... but, the 'kids' naivete' has not progressed for their ages along with the progress in times!!

Thank God I don't live in Lima, but, have all of our family that does..... I know we're not immune out here, but, Lima's def a scary place for you to have any loved ones living in....... i visited with one of my moms' old boyfriends a couple weeks back & there was a woman with a baby on her hip, yelling & cussing up a storm to the guy behind her.....every li'l sound i heard had me jumping asking, "what was that?!?" lol

i guess i'm not a city girl!!! lol

Oh goodness, lii!! ff, you'll prolly like this band too....but, ya should check 'em out if u haven't heard them already....i just found them listening to Austin City Limits when they followed Elvis Costello...

Not sure what kinda style ud call 'em.....sorta a mix of R&R, bluesy/jazz, rocka-billy???? Pretty unique & those gravely voices from several members that lep has noticed that i certainly enjoy!!

Anyway, band name is "Band of Heathens"....also, another thing that i've always loved is when ppl use their instruments in new & unconventional ways (that's what she said! ) lol....anywho...the pinano guy had the top off of it & was playing on the strings inside, sorta like a steel guitar with one hand, (from what i could see) and using his other to strike the keys!!! How freaking awesum is that!!??!!??

Don't have time to find any of the particular songs that i heard tonight, but, did find them on rhapsody, so, when i hear the ones i like best, ill try to find 'em on utube & poste 'em here....

Haven.t made it out yet...... was looking for sumthin' & came across a REALLY good old kenton thread.....one small part that stuck out to me was, "DEER Homer"" !!!!!!!! LOL but, there was sooo much good old stuff there too......omg!! i think floundear & i have 'for ur eyes only' stuff still left from that thread!!!! "LOL
