I believe that Sarah will be obsolete in a short time also...........after 2012 I would expect for her to be a footnote in history as the most ill-prepared vice presidential candidate in the annals of this great country.......

I have CBS Sunday Morning on & they're talking about printed books right now, which has been a pretty hot topic of late.....
Others I wonder about are; the printed news paper (has already had many companies go out of business, at least in paper printing, opting for online only), mail, CD's & DVD's........ All these things can be easily accessed online/downloaded & you don't have the product taking up physical space--which is a HUGE selling point for me! Not to mention all the tree huggers have to love it too!!

It's just mindboggling & amazing to me how in my 'short'

How many of these things have you already left by the wayside?
Any others you can think of that in the near future may become things of a bygone era??
Slice, I thought you removed "things" to "show off your bling"!

I dunno. Massachusetts saying it may take "several weeks" to determine the winner because recounts will likely be necessary.
Translation: If the Republican wins, Massachusetts will stall as long as humanly possible and see if they can find some additional ballots that fell between a washing machine and voting booth or something, or just SAY they found some. Regardless, expect some shenanigans to occur in Massachusetts if the Democrats stand to lose their seat. Of course, if the Democrat is even one vote ahead, the state will basically shut down all counts to ensure a Democrat victory. In the end, expect Massachusetts to stall if the Republican wins and try to give the Democrats in Congress as much time as possible to push through additional disastrous legislation before the Senate no longer has 60 votes to get past the cloture vote.

I'd rather shower at Penn State than root for Michigan.

Agree on the rap music. What bothers me the most is that they give grammys away for that crap now. I remember when it first started, the didn't have a catagory for it to win in for a while. It takes far less talent to write rap than it does real music.

Def one of my fave cartoons of alltime!!

I need a Rosie!

Uhhhmmmm.... Perhaps such closed minded ppl........

Just because you don't enjoy rap/hip-hop, what makes it wrong for others to enjoy & celebrate it??
I think it's fine that we all have our preferences to things, but, I don't think we need to deny others their availability/opinions just because something doesn't tickle our pickle..... In this case, it is just music, after all..... Plenty of outlets available for what everyone prefers, just like the multitude of message boards we all have our choices of.
I happen to truly love many genres of music, hip-hop/rap being one of them, & sure hope none of them become obsolete in my lifetime....'specially just 'cause someone else doesn't approve of/like it.

Rock on together, my peeps!!

Okay, lep...better understood now......I was wondering how you are a product of the 80's & couldn't at least enjoy some of it......

As far as the newer rap......although it may not be what you call 'singing', to me, a lot of it seems to be lyrics/poetry set to beats, which I really like......A good beat will grab me before any actual lyrics will..... Especially since I've ruined my hearing from my blasting music over the years, I can't understand the lyrics of anything anymore anyway!!!

With that said, there is definately LOTS of rap that I don't care for whatsoever, therefore, not being an aficionado, don't feel the need for it to obliterated on my behalf..... With the proven likes of Barry Gordy, Russel Simmons, Clive Davis, Jay-Z, etc., I 'spose I'm happy for them to decide what's credibile & worthy instead of me.
